[00:01:09] Speaker A: Hey everyone. Welcome back to the Mouse Ears podcast. I am one of your wonderful host, Brooks and with me tonight we have. I feel like it's the. The og the original host, Jenny unfortunately could not be with us tonight. We miss her.
She is, she is still OG in our hearts.
But with us tonight we have Kelton in the great state of Texas. Kelton, how are you doing?
[00:01:40] Speaker B: What's going on? Brooks, how are you?
[00:01:42] Speaker A: I'm doing well, how are you?
[00:01:45] Speaker B: I'm happy to be back after traveling last week.
Like you said, it's going to be a really just heart wrenching show tonight.
[00:01:56] Speaker A: I know it's going. It's going to be like our mainly God nights episodes.
[00:02:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:05] Speaker A: And joining us on this wild ride because I feel like we're already going a little bit off as a typical mouse, here is episode Trainwreck Galore. We have Steph over there in the Florada. Steph, how are you doing?
[00:02:21] Speaker C: Good. Happy to be back. Since I missed last week from being sick, still recovering, but I did not want to miss this episode. I'll be honest. I mean, yes, frankly, I don't want to miss any episode, but I don't want to miss this one.
[00:02:36] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Because I mean, what was that?
[00:02:41] Speaker C: I. I started going on a rant.
[00:02:43] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:02:43] Speaker C: And it just dies. My train wreck.
[00:02:52] Speaker A: The arsonist had oddly shaped feet. So anyway.
Anchorman, anyone?
[00:03:00] Speaker B: No, I was thinking like High School Musical one.
[00:03:02] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, yeah. My.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: The people in the cars are going, what is going on over there in the studio?
[00:03:15] Speaker A: The Human Torch was denied a bank loan.
[00:03:19] Speaker C: Just a typical Thursday.
[00:03:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
So we are not, we're not talking about vocal exercises tonight, but what we are talking about are the nighttime shows that are available at all of the Disney parks. We're not just focusing on Walt Disney World. We're not just focusing on Disneyland. We're talking about all the Disney parks.
But before we get into tonight's episode, we have trivia and we did not discuss who was doing trivia before we did this. So whoever's doing trivia, take it away.

On average, what does a Disney theme park spend dollar wise per night on a fireworks show?
On average, what does a Disney park spend a dollar amount per night on a fireworks show?
You'd be surprised at this answer. So make sure you stay tuned.
The end of the episode. That's all I have. Brooks for trivia. Back over to you, my friend.
[00:05:33] Speaker A: Thank you, Kelton.
So I mean let's see here. They, they gotta have a whippersnapper in there.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: They gotta have who's you do and who you don't.
[00:05:46] Speaker A: I mean all the, all the fun grenades and not grenades.
[00:05:52] Speaker B: But oh, you gotta have your smoke bombs, your firecrackers, your, you know, whiskey kidders and all that good stuff.
[00:06:01] Speaker A: So I was thinking about so straight fun little. Yeah, no fun little fireworks story. I remember back in the day shooting fireworks off at the lake and someone had like this Rambo fireworks kit and it was in the dark so we didn't read the directions because it was all guys and we literally, it was like this big tube and grenades. So we were literally lighting the grenades and throwing them.
And towards the end we realized, oh, we put the grenades in the tube and that shoots it out.
We didn't realize it until the last one.
[00:06:47] Speaker B: And this is why women live longer than men.
Happy 4th of July to all on Friday. As you're listening to this fourth of July week, stay safe. Back it up, Terry.
[00:07:01] Speaker A: And as we're recording this Today, it is 6:2:6 day. So happy stitch day. Happy stitch and also happy anniversary to former guests Jacob Walker and his wife Naoma Walker.
[00:07:16] Speaker B: Congratulations.
[00:07:17] Speaker A: Yes.
Their fourth anniversary. May the fourth be with them.
So. And also with you.
So this episode we are diving into the dazzling world of Disney's nighttime shows and spectaculars.
So we will talk about the history, some history of the shows, highlighting current offerings across Disney parks and maybe even rank our favorites. If you listen to some of our episodes, you know how some of us feel about certain shows.
[00:07:56] Speaker B: It just goes to show, Enchantment is not on this, this document at all.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: No, not at all.
Plus, we may play a quick round of this or that at the end to see where we all stand on the great phantasmic debate.
So as we go in, we're going to talk about, I think we're going to talk about first, why are these nighttime shows so special?
Why they're so magical.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: So. So I'm glad you asked the question because I was worried you weren't going to.
I think a lot of it has to do with storytelling. It's very simple at that point. And then also it's really yanking the chains of us kind of millennials, maybe the younger Gen Xers when it comes to the stuff that we grew up on. I mean, look at it. If you take Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios right now, after Covid, they redid some of the theming and I really wasn't sure how I was going to feel about that. But they brought in Pocahontas. We got Aladdin now too. It's a lot of the stuff that we grew up on watching as kids like that is just our era. And Walt was all into, you know, really telling a heart throbbing story.
So I think that has a lot to do with it.
[00:09:33] Speaker A: Oh yeah. I mean it.
We said in our intro, keep the tissues handy. I mean, you ever wanted to see.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: Two grown men cry? Take us to the ever after.
[00:09:49] Speaker A: And we've talked about in previous episodes, previous guys nights, how special especially the Magic Kingdom shows are.
But like you say, it's. I mean literally.
I mean when most, I think most non Disney people think of fireworks, to think of fourth of July kind of ooh, ah, yay, walk away.
But literally Disney adults, when they think of fireworks, they think of Kelton. You said it. The storytelling, like how these imagineers can just create, I mean, to quote Aladdin, a whole new world with the projections, the lighting, the fireworks, the, the audio, like everything, it just, it takes you into that place and I feel like you can relate to it no matter what stage in life that you're in. I remember the first time watching the fireworks and how special it was being there with my mom and us finally doing the Disney trip. We had always talked about going back later with my wife and sharing that with her. And then just recently in the last couple of years, being able to share that with my daughter.
And like, I even.
We even went live on TikTok at that time. And I shared it with you all as well.
Ellie's first. Like, we finally did happily ever after with Ellie and like, I'm hoping eventually, like, being there when she can first remember it and like.
[00:11:56] Speaker B: When we're.
[00:11:57] Speaker A: And I can't wait till we're all there physically together watching one day.
Yes.
[00:12:05] Speaker B: So one day.
[00:12:07] Speaker A: Steph, what about you?
[00:12:10] Speaker B: She's busy typing in the background for adoption.
[00:12:13] Speaker A: I mean, she's speechless. She's speechless for the fireworks.
[00:12:18] Speaker C: Honestly.
Kelton, you said it before, it's part of the storytelling. But, you know, Disney's grand.
It's more than just magical.
It's memorable. And the fact that they thought about, you know, literally ending your park day with a bang, and I mean, a firework bang, you know, it really is just. It's bittersweet because you're like, thinking, oh, my gosh, it's the end of the day. I don't want to leave. Like, I'm so sad. Like, I, to this day just. I can't leave the park without verbalizing. I don't want to go. Right.
But it's also sweet because nothing like punches my heart in the same way that some of these, you know, shows really does. And other than Enchantment don't come at me.
I just feel like the shows at Magic Kingdom to wrap up the night have always been just like, you're ending your, your day on a high no matter what.
So. And I, you know, it. I almost, I got spoiled and I got.
I don't know what the word is. Spoiled is the only one I could think about. But no other fireworks in the entirety of the world, in my opinion ever matches, like, local fourth of July or local New Year's Eve. No, none of that. Like, there's been times where I'm just like, I'm laying down at the beach and I'm like, oh, that's. That's it. Like two minutes of just random pew, pew, pew. I'm used to my 18 minute long show on Main Street USA. You got Jiminy Cricket talking to you and just like telling you about wishing and in the fireworks and the kids singing, yes, I'm Making reference to wishes. Rip.
But it's true. I mean.
[00:14:26] Speaker A: And they do it every night.
[00:14:28] Speaker C: Every night.
And I never get tired of it. And the fact. Right. But the fact that they can do this time and time again, it really is timeless.
It's beautiful. It's the best way to end the night. And who better than Disney to wrap up the magic in a firework bow? I mean, sorry. The park next door doesn't even hold a candle to any kind of nighttime show that Disney does. They don't.
No one does.
[00:15:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:15:03] Speaker C: Like, you can't go to Disney. Sorry. You can't go to Walt Disney World.
And I'll say specifically Walt Disney World, because it's my backyard park.
You can't go there without seeing a show.
And I know I've had clients who have gone to parks like, say, Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic. That is literally what their whole reason for going to that park is. And it'll not show because of weather that'll ruin.
[00:15:34] Speaker B: Completely ruins the day.
[00:15:35] Speaker C: That'll ruin the trip. You know, like, you can't underestimate the impact of these shows. Truly.
Is that good enough, bro?
[00:15:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:45] Speaker A: Oh, no, it's good enough.
[00:15:47] Speaker C: I can keep going.
[00:15:50] Speaker A: Testify.
[00:15:53] Speaker C: For the people in the back.
[00:15:56] Speaker B: No, it's just taking us to church here.
[00:16:00] Speaker A: No, I mean, literally, the ability that Disney is able to do these night after night, create those memories night after night, it's. It literally is incredible and a true testament at what they have created.
So.
And it.
I know it's every New Year's. I've done this, I think, for the past maybe eight or nine years.
I literally turn on a live feed and watch the Disney fireworks for New Year's.
[00:16:49] Speaker C: I don't care what's going on around me.
[00:16:51] Speaker B: I just wanted to mention everyone else.
[00:16:54] Speaker C: What are you gonna say?
[00:16:55] Speaker B: No, I'm. We do New Year's. Halloween, Fourth of July, a random Tuesday of the month. It doesn't really matter.
I mean, we are like, yes.
[00:17:10] Speaker C: Yes. Oh, I am that person where everyone in the room is watching the New York ball drop, and I'm on my phone like fireworks.
[00:17:21] Speaker B: 10, 9, 8. That's exactly what I'm watching.
[00:17:26] Speaker C: You just hear Mickey, Minnie, and all friends, like, doing the different. Oh, no, no, no, no. I do not even like in comp. In comparison. Yes. Do a great job in New York City. Yes. I've. I've had the pleasure of being there in person. So for all of you that want to come at me, I've been there.
Disney is just Disney.
[00:17:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:17:49] Speaker C: And that's every day.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: No, and, and I, I will say this too. Like we, we jest about Enchantment.
I'll take Enchantment over almost any non Disney fireworks show any day.
[00:18:07] Speaker B: Enchantment is really starting to grow on me two years later.
[00:18:14] Speaker A: And that's ain't like.
And I'll say that like one of the best non Disney firework shows I've ever seen has been in my neighborhood. There's, there's a couple in our neighborhood that, I mean, they go all out. I think that I've heard that they've spent upwards of almost $10,000 on fireworks. And it's like a 30 minute fireworks show.
Yeah, it goes on for a while, but at the same time, like I'll just, I'll watch my, I'll, I'll watch my Disney fireworks.
But so we've talked about Disney has fireworks. So spoiler alert. Disney has fireworks and nighttime shows.
So I think what we're going to do right now is gonna go around and talk about some of the current shows. And I would like to take the first one if y' all do, if y' all do not mind, because it is my favorite nighttime show.
There's a one that is a very, very close second.
I would say Disney Disney World. Right now, they're three nighttime shows. Because Animal Kingdom does not have a nighttime show. Kind of hard to do fireworks with all the animals around. I don't think we want Stampede or anything like that.
But at Magic Kingdom we have the absolutely spectacular. It was so great. They had to bring it back.
Happily Ever after is truly the perfect end of a Magic Kingdom day.
Going and watching Happily Ever After.
And it is the one that literally I, I go when I need a pick me up after a bad day.
I can just listen to the audio from Happily Ever After.
It will is one that will literally bring tears to my eyes.
And but with Magic Kingdom, they've had, you know, they've had great lineup and again we just about Enchantment.
Enchantment.
If it was just standalone, you didn't have all the others, it would not have, it would not have been bad. But compared to it was. It's bottom of the list of the wonderful shows that you have at Magic Kingdom. But in the beginning they had Fantasy in the sky, which went for a very long time from opening till the early 2000s.
Then we had Wishes, which just spectacular show.
And then after wishes we have Happily Ever after version one.
Then they brought in Enchantment for a little bit and then they're like, you know what?
We need to give the people what we. What they want.
We'll bring back Happily Ever after part. Duh.
And that is what we currently have right now.
This is going to be a fairly long episode. I feel like talking about all of them, so I'm not going to go into the audio but because especially I don't want to cry for the rest of the episode.
But with Happily Ever after just the song, I mean, Jordan Fisher brings the heart, brings the soul, and he's so good. I can't think of the other woman's name. It's like Angelica or Angela something I can't really remember. I've never, I've never heard her on anything else but the Happily Ever after song. It.
But oh, it is incredible. I mean, he.
You can feel that he is just singing with his soul. I feel both of them feel like they. They really are connecting with the world.
[00:23:15] Speaker C: You can tell that Jordan Fisher is a die hard Disney adult just like us.
[00:23:20] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:23:20] Speaker C: Just. Just with the V expertise.
[00:23:24] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I mean, I think Jordan Fisher, like the Disney stars, when they would get all them together to sing certain songs and it's like you had one generation of Disney Channel stars where you had like Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, I mean, all these, I feel like heavy hitters, Demi Lovato, like all them. And then you have like the Next Generation, which Jordan Fisher was in there and they're singing do you want to build a snowman? Which the funny thing is Sabrina Carpenter is in that song too.
And Jordan Fisher just all of a sudden takes it over.
You can tell he's just like, why isn't. Why aren't they giving me.
It's like, give me a good line. Give me a good line. And he like when they're all singing together, he just takes over and it's like, yeah, this man loves Disney.
So.
But yeah, happily ever after just.
And it doesn't feel too long like it.
I feel like all the nighttime shows are pretty perfectly paced.
Like you. You're never like, oh, man, that could maybe end it a couple of minutes earlier. Like all of them. It's like, just give me five more minutes.
Five more minutes. Come on.
But I could spend a whole episode, which I think I have spent a whole episode talking about Happily ever after.
But there are other shows. And next I think we're going to head over to Hollywood Studios with our correspondent Kelton. Kelton, how are things over there? Hollywood Studios.
[00:25:16] Speaker B: Brooks, let's talk about Hollywood Studios here. Okay, here's what we're thinking for nighttime spec. No, I'm okay. But really though, Hollywood Studios people always thought, well, it's just a half day park. Wrong, folks, wrong. It is not a half day park. You spend the entire day there. And I'm going to tell you why.
Back in we had to go back to 1992. Yes. I was one years old at this point, aging myself here just a little bit. But the history of the wonderful fantasmic, it doesn't start in Hollywood studios in 1992. It actually started over in Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where it was kind of created to reinvigorate the rivers of America area over at Disneyland, which because of the popular success of the show, Disney was like, hey, we're gonna bring it to the east coast now. They built their own 10,000 person amphitheater over in Hollywood Studios. And it is just. I mean, I guess there's a lot of really good shows at studios, but when you like, let's, let's talk about fantasmic.
Like we got a 59 foot dragon. I mean, it's kind of a dragon head with wings. It's not the full dragon. Like, like Disneyland has. I know a lot of people are always talking about how Disneyland has the better show because it's got the full dragon. But you know, what are the dragon heads kind of better? It also spits fire. That's pretty cool too. I think Disneylands does as well. But it is what it is.
But when you look at. Go ahead.
[00:27:12] Speaker C: But the Disneyland one did catch on fire.
[00:27:15] Speaker B: Ours has not. Yet.
Ours has not caught on fire.
[00:27:20] Speaker A: I didn't want to bring that up.
[00:27:21] Speaker B: But Maleficent also caught on fire in Festival of Fantasy. But nobody's talking about that one either right now.
So first off, let's paint the picture. Okay. Early 2000s, you're a youngin.
You've got a Mickey bar in one hand, popcorn in the other. Okay, Are you with me?
And we are in line walking down the long walkway to get to the amphitheater for fantaspic. All right, we go through, we sit down and then all of a sudden we are greeted with just a bop of an album of these Disney songs playing. I'm talking things from, you know, the Little Mermaid, Mulan.
We've taken it to a whole new world with Aladdin. I mean, it just, it's kicking, as the kids would say.
Yes, a little bit of a Goofy movie in there as well.
And then the announcements come, the lights go dim, everybody starts the slow clap. And it just gets faster and faster. All of A sudden the lights go up, the music hits, and then there is the man himself, Mickey Mouse, standing right there center stage.
And I'm already getting goosebumps. Fantasmic is my favorite show.
Nighttime Spectacular, however you would like to call I more of a stage show. I mean, happily ever after is all time fireworks show.
Being a cast member, what my wife and I would do early on, I would get off, we'd get off of work and I'd be like, hey, what, what are our plans for tonight? We have no plans. Fantastic. I have a great idea. There are some stale pretzels for sale at studios. We, we're going to go in and we are going to watch Fantasmic.
And that is just what it is. I going in and enjoying why she.
[00:29:32] Speaker A: Fell in love with you.
[00:29:33] Speaker B: We were already married at that point. I think maybe it was my looks. Could have been my smooth talking. I'm not real sure what it was.
[00:29:40] Speaker A: I think it was the stale pretzels.
[00:29:42] Speaker B: It could have been the stale pretzels because I think we did sell them at that time too.
But so with that, I mean, we have a full amphitheater. Get this, okay. The moat itself.
So going into some more, you know, deeper details.
The moat itself is 1.9 million gallons.
The cobra from, you know, like when Jafar turns into the snake is 100ft long.
And the one thing I really love to tell people is Ariel at the end when you know all the characters, when the paddleboat comes out and you have Steamboat Willie driving, all the characters are on the paddle boat. It's really magical. It gets all the feels. If you haven't seen or enjoyed it yet, I highly suggest you do.
Ariel is in the back. You know, she's there with Prince Eric, her man, looking all. They're looking great and everything.
Ariel is the highest, the highest paid, I would say, character on that boat.
And it is strictly because, well, she is a mermaid and she cannot easily get down off of her chair, whatever they have her sitting on. So they actually have to put a flame retardant net over her.
And I believe they call it like catching the fish or something like that is what it's called for.
So there's a little bit of trivia to really, you know, keep your friends entertained with that one.
But besides the point, Hollywood Studios and Fantasmic is definitely a do not mess. If you are wanting to, you know, get in and really make sure you have good seats for the show, I'm going to strongly suggest that you guys go and do the.
Oh, what Is it called the Fantasmic dining package? Is what you do? Yes, because that'll get you in the Sorcerer Mickey seated section, so you have a great viewing right down the center.
But that's what I have for Hollywood Studios.
[00:32:17] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, it.
Fantasmic is a fantastic show.
It.
I mean, I was really bummed whenever we were all down there in February and it got rained out.
[00:32:35] Speaker B: That was horrible.
[00:32:37] Speaker C: That was depressing.
[00:32:38] Speaker A: Yeah, that was.
[00:32:40] Speaker C: And we were waiting for a while, and it wasn't like we didn't see any. We saw, like, the first five minutes, and then it was just stopped. And you're like, what?
What?
Yeah, you're right. Tease.
[00:32:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:32:54] Speaker C: But I know if Jen was here, she would also be raving to the ends of the earth about Fantasmic because I know my girl is obsessed since she used to be a former cast member for Fantasmic as well.
[00:33:07] Speaker B: Hold on, hold on.
There are no. There's no such thing as a former cast member.
[00:33:14] Speaker A: You're a cast member.
[00:33:15] Speaker B: A cast member for life.
[00:33:17] Speaker C: Cast member for life. Well, she even has a magic band dedicated to Fantasmic.
And her and I bonded heavily when we first met over our love of Fantasmic. And, you know, it's. It's a little daunting when you're going on a trip with people you don't really know. And her and I, obviously the rest of the girls were a little. Little girl group.
We bonded over tears.
I was so worried that these girls were gonna judge me for being at Fantasmic and just, you know, full on Waterworks. No, no, no. I looked. I looked over, and we were all in the same state, just unleashing.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: That's how you knew that it's a friendship for life.
[00:34:03] Speaker C: Exactly. Exactly. Now it's.
Fantasmic has withstood. Withstood.
I'm gonna say it's withstood.
[00:34:12] Speaker B: Withstood. Yep.
[00:34:13] Speaker C: Thank you. The test of time. All they've done is, like, added to it. But the general concept has always remained the same. And it has never, ever, to my knowledge at least, been. I don't know, requested to change, criticized. I mean, it is. It is phenomenal from start to finish.
[00:34:37] Speaker B: I do want to say when. When it came back after Covid, I was. A lot of people were very concerned on what they were going to do because they did talk about doing an update to Fantasmic.
So I remember sitting on the couch with Casey as we were watching it live. Somebody was streaming it. We were watching it live, and at the end, I turned to Her. And I said it was not as horrible as I thought it was gonna be.
[00:35:04] Speaker C: You see, like, I. The fact that they added Elsa from Frozen and Moana from Moana, I really thought that they implemented them seamlessly.
And, yeah, I love Moana.
[00:35:20] Speaker B: They added some of the newer movies to keep, you know, the younger. The younger Gen Z, the gen Alphas there. But also we have Aladdin and Pocahontas, Aladdin and Mulan, you know, and therefore us older millennials, younger Gen Xers who, you know, still hold on to things like that.
[00:35:45] Speaker C: It's just great. Even. Even the playlist, when you're waiting, bangers totally slaps.
So anyways, don't miss out on Fantasmic. And if it rains, book yourself another trip. You just can't. You just can't miss it.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: You just have to go back.
[00:36:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
Anything else you guys want to add about Fantasmic? Other than that? It's fantastic.
[00:36:13] Speaker A: No, I mean, we could. We could spend all episode talking. I feel like we could spend all episode really talking about any of these. Yeah, maybe one. One day we'll do a series.
[00:36:25] Speaker C: Yes, please.
[00:36:26] Speaker B: We gotta move on to Epcot.
[00:36:28] Speaker A: Yeah, Epcot.
[00:36:31] Speaker C: Okay, guys, I'm gonna talk about Epcot. I don't have as much as many fond memories or as much information from personal experience on the shows from Epcot, but goodness knows, those. Those have been criticized a lot.
And I mean a lot.
[00:36:53] Speaker A: Well, I mean, this. This one is then, I would say is currently the newest one of all of them.
[00:37:02] Speaker C: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
But I want to start from the very beginning.
1982, the first show that Epcot had when it first opened was Carnival de Lumiere. And I probably said it wrong, but we're just gonna go with the flow.
[00:37:22] Speaker B: That's better than Brooks and I would have said it.
[00:37:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:37:25] Speaker C: All right. Carnival de Lumiere.
[00:37:27] Speaker A: Carnival de Lumine.
[00:37:31] Speaker C: It's got a nice ring when you.
[00:37:32] Speaker A: Say it, Brooks, which fun fact. That was the original trivia question.
[00:37:38] Speaker B: It was.
[00:37:40] Speaker A: So.
[00:37:42] Speaker C: Yeah, we're not going to go into the details of the old ones because they're just not worth it.
[00:37:48] Speaker B: Whoa, pause.
There are two shows.
[00:37:54] Speaker A: Now. Which one are you talking about?
[00:37:56] Speaker C: Talking about the old ones. There's so many that we. I'm trying to go through the old ones to get to the new ones, and I'm not trying to dwell so long on the old ones because I can't really speak to them. I mean.
[00:38:08] Speaker B: What do you mean?
[00:38:09] Speaker C: Before I was even born?
Anything before I was born, pre 1996.
[00:38:15] Speaker B: Well, Brooks and I are old.
[00:38:18] Speaker C: Well, in this moment, pre1996, I can't talk about it. Guys, if you have anything to chip in, go for it.
[00:38:27] Speaker A: I didn't go to Disney till 2004, so I got nothing.
[00:38:31] Speaker B: I got nothing.
[00:38:32] Speaker C: See, we got nothing.
All right, number two, start. Okay, so in 1983, Epcot then transitioned over to a new world Fantasy.
Don't know what that's about, but it does sound better than its previous name, so I'm sure it was an upgrade.
Third show, which debuted in 1984.
Clearly, the one before didn't last that long.
This one's called Laser Phonic Fantasy.
Sounds fun. Sounds like a lot of lasers. We're gonna move on.
Number four also didn't last too long. Actually, that's a lie.
Illuminations in 1988.
The original illuminations, Not Reflections of Earth. Exactly. So illuminations, the OG was from 1988 to 1996. Hello.
Still didn't get to see it.
But that was fun, I think, because.
[00:39:46] Speaker B: Now we're approaching Steps era here. Okay, people, so if you were. Before 1996, she said she didn't care about any of us.
Nothing.
[00:39:57] Speaker C: I want to hear your experience about the shows. Pre1996.
[00:40:01] Speaker A: She doesn't care about your Goosebumps. She doesn't care about your Tamagotchis. She doesn't care.
[00:40:07] Speaker B: Don't worry about it.
Digimon. Anybody have Digimon?
[00:40:11] Speaker A: Your Yoyos?
Hogs?
[00:40:14] Speaker B: Walk of Dogs?
[00:40:18] Speaker A: My favorite was Rocket Pocket, where you throw it up in the air and catch it in your pocket.
[00:40:25] Speaker B: Okay, not everybody's that big of a nerd.
[00:40:29] Speaker A: All right, so yo yos were big in my school.
[00:40:33] Speaker C: I mean, yo yos are still a thing. So.
Yeah, okay.
[00:40:40] Speaker B: We wanted to.
Illumination.
[00:40:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I was say. Yeah. So show number five at Epcot. Clearly, Epcot shows don't have a good track record. I think they need a little bit more work because they go through shows very often.
[00:40:59] Speaker A: My colleges go through coaches now.
[00:41:04] Speaker B: All right, $5 million buyout.
[00:41:08] Speaker C: Train wreck.
Okay, show number five, Illuminations 25, aka 2.0. That one ran from 1996 to 1999. It was just a enhanced show of the original one, but clearly this one was doing better since they kind of kept it for a little longer than just two years or one.
Then we go into number six, rendition six, Illumination's Reflections of Earth, which ran from 1999 to 2019.
Do you want to talk about that?
[00:41:54] Speaker B: That soundtrack, Top notch. Goosebumps. When. When the globe would go out on the water, and the orchestra would really, like, ramp up and. Oh, and then all the fireworks start and the lasers and. Oh, man, I'm getting Goosebumps.
[00:42:18] Speaker A: Project favorite shout out to Peter Burkhart.
[00:42:23] Speaker C: I'm sorry, I was just gonna say that this was actually the longest running show at Epcot to date. This version, not any of the other twos.
But, yes, this one created a pretty big fandom since it was around for quite a bit of time. 20 years.
And over time, World Showcase has enhanced. You now have the torches. You now have the lights across all the different pavilions, which obviously, all of those things really, truly ramp up the experience and add to the nighttime spectacular that Epcot provides. But we do not end there, people. No, we do not.
After Illuminations Reflections of Earth, we now have show number seven.
[00:43:14] Speaker A: What?
[00:43:16] Speaker C: We've got Epcot 4 forever, which actually was the shortest I arguably lived nighttime show because of COVID Oh, boo. Okay.
Didn't get to see that one either. Or at least if I did, I can't remember it.
Any. Any thoughts?
[00:43:37] Speaker A: I remember. Watch. I remember watching Epcot Forever like a live stream. It was good.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: It was good.
[00:43:45] Speaker C: I do remember a lot of grumblings because it was just not a worthy opponent to Illuminations.
[00:43:54] Speaker A: I feel like people were gonna grumble no matter what because they got rid of Illuminations.
[00:44:00] Speaker B: People said the same thing about Happily Ever after version one after wishes. You just have to give it some time.
[00:44:07] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:09] Speaker C: However, it was not given enough time because we now got show number eight, Harmonious.
[00:44:18] Speaker B: This one should have stayed.
[00:44:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:22] Speaker C: With the barges.
[00:44:23] Speaker B: Yes, I will.
Any. I'm telling you, I will fight anybody, and I will argue till the day I die that Harmonious should still be in Epcot. Yes. I know you don't like the barges, but really, really. How many of y' all actually looked across the bay towards America, Morocco? Put your hand down, Steph. Towards America, Morocco, or Germany? I mean, really, are the barges really causing that much of an issue?
[00:44:51] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: No.
[00:44:52] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: No.
[00:44:53] Speaker C: We like pictures. We like spotless pictures.
[00:44:57] Speaker B: Spotless pictures.
[00:44:58] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:45:00] Speaker B: The barges are not doing anything.
[00:45:03] Speaker C: They're obstructing the view. When you are in America or Italy. In Italy, and you're standing in that little, like, I don't know, a little balcony area.
[00:45:15] Speaker B: That's a great place to propose, by the way, if you're ever thinking. If anybody's thinking about that. In Italy. Right. Where the. You know, those boats are with the guys with the sticks that push and sing. You know what I'm talking about?
[00:45:29] Speaker C: Yes. However, if you want a nice picture, you want to see spaceship Earth, you don't want to see black barges just obstructing it, and then you see parts of the. Of the globe and then. Bleh. No. Nope.
I liked the show. For the record.
For the record, I did enjoy the show.
They needed to have those barges be movable.
And frankly, right now, the new show has some semblance or some iteration of movable Marges, just not quite as big.
No, no.
You know, Kelton. Kelton. I don't know your middle name. Kelton.
That Disney does. What is it? Line of sight. Very well.
Extremely, extraordinarily well. Well, this was not something that Walt would have approved. He was rolling his grave. He's like, no, I. I know what's going on, and I don't want to know what's going on. I want it to be magical.
[00:46:44] Speaker B: Just all of a sudden, approve of a lot of things now.
So barges in the middle of Hourglass Lake, I think are pretty low on his list.
I'm just throwing it out there. People.
I want to know. Okay, I think we want to know, whose side are you on when it comes to the barges? Do you agree with Steph and how they're ruining your line of sight or your pictures of the Epcot ball? Or do you agree with me how they really didn't cause that big of an. I'm not saying they added two things.
[00:47:18] Speaker C: Things.
[00:47:19] Speaker B: I'm saying that they didn't cause that big of an issue.
I want to know.
I'm rarely wrong.
I'm mistaken sometimes, but I'm rarely wrong.
And you could. You could text Casey and ask her. She'll tell you. I'm rarely wrong.
[00:47:36] Speaker C: Well, the people. The people can determine who wins this throw down.
[00:47:40] Speaker B: I want to know. Like, I. I would love to. I mean, Brooks, you're kind of the third one here. I mean, you know, you.
[00:47:48] Speaker C: You won't hate you.
[00:47:52] Speaker A: I feel like someone is gonna hate me no matter what I say.
[00:47:55] Speaker B: No, no, there's no hate. Just remember who you know. The bros are.
[00:48:02] Speaker C: Just. Just friendly punches.
[00:48:05] Speaker A: I'll say this. Number one.
I may be in the minority. I light Epcot Forever because I.
Yeah, I. One thing I liked about Epcot forever is the fact that they would bring in, like, the history of Epcot, like, bring in all the old shows, like, all the different theme songs. Because one thing that really they don't do with a lot of show, a lot of, like, the attractions now is have theme songs. Like, back in the day, a lot of Attractions had theme songs.
We've talked about. Veggie, veggie, fruit. Fruit. I feel like a lot this season with the Kitchen Cabaret.
But literally, like, I feel like the hatred towards the barges was a little much it.
In all honesty, it wasn't that bad.
Like, I mean, I can understand how some people are, like, you know, trying to. Trying to get a good picture.
And you have.
You have this metal stuff in the middle of your shot.
You know what? Go in Japan. Go up to the second story where the.
At the restaurant, you get a much better view of spaceship Earth. Like, there's ways to. You. There were ways you could get around that barge.
Get on one the Friendship boats, go across, and as you're going across, take a picture.
I feel like people didn't give it enough time to, like, really.
Because they were still figuring out stuff with the barges and everything. And I feel like they just weren't given enough time to really show what they could do.
Like, because you could have built upon that. And especially with having a permanent structure like you could have built and.
[00:50:26] Speaker C: But I'll tell you what the other problem was, too.
Okay, is who built those barges?
We do not speak of the. Of the Bob. Of that Bob does that Bob. We don't like that Bob.
[00:50:46] Speaker B: He was a scapegoat.
[00:50:48] Speaker C: We don't like that Bob.
[00:50:50] Speaker A: They were in. That was in production before him.
[00:50:54] Speaker C: Maybe so, but we're gonna still blame that Bob.
And everything that came.
Everything that came with that Bob was criticized.
[00:51:07] Speaker B: Coming from working for multiple large companies. In my lifetime, things just don't automatically go into place.
So, yes, I'm sorry, guys. I'm saying all the stuff that, you know, we blame Bob Chapek for Bob Iger's idea.
Yeah, I'll say it. I'm sorry. I'm telling you, if you work for a large company, you know, it takes time to put new policies and procedures into place.
So you can't tell me that all of a sudden we're going to go a flip of a switch. We're going to charge $25 for parking at your resort.
And. Oh, my gosh, it was Bob Chapek's idea.
I'm telling you, I'm gonna step down now because we have more to get to.
[00:52:02] Speaker C: Did you hear that?
[00:52:04] Speaker A: I'll just say this, too. Everyone would criticize Eisner with all of his stuff. And now looking back, people are like, stuff wasn't that bad.
[00:52:16] Speaker C: My heart just broke, like, two minutes ago when Kelton started talking.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: We. I guess we have. We're no longer friends after this.
Not saying Bob Iger is a bad CEO for this company at all. I'm not. I'm not. Bob Chapek was a scapegoat. That's all I'm going to say.
[00:52:41] Speaker C: I don't disagree with you. In all fairness.
[00:52:44] Speaker B: In all fairness, we'll see what Josh tomorrow has as he's coming up into his time.
[00:52:50] Speaker C: This would be such a great after hours episode. Just the great debate, Bob. Debate. Okay, anyways, moving on because we're so off topic right now.
After Harmonious, which lasted from 2021 to 2023, we got Epcot Forever, Reprise.
Basically just an updated version of Epcot Forever.
That one did not last too long.
2023 to 2024, because.
Drum roll, please.
Not really. Luminous. The symphony of us.
Do I like it? Yes, I do.
I.
I'll be honest, the first time I watched it didn't get the goosebumps, didn't cry.
But it does grow on you. It does grow on you.
I know that they have a lot of.
[00:53:53] Speaker A: You like to see a good. A good video of Luminous, check out The Masters Podcast YouTube page. There is a.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: In 4K.
[00:54:02] Speaker A: In 4K, there's a wonderful unobstructed.
[00:54:05] Speaker C: Unobstructed view dead center. Yes, it is a good show. It is. But like, so pre show, all of us were listening to Happily Ever after just to kind of get, you know, our emotions and feelings flowing for this one. And. And you know, as soon as you hear the trumpets, you are getting goosebumps.
Yes. But, you know, Luminous. So their soundtrack. So that whole show actually got delayed a little bit. They had some tech issues because they couldn't figure out what their theme song was gonna be.
You know, speculations, whatever. They.
Bob Iger wasn't happy with the first rendition and they had a couple few iterations of it. So eventually we got to what we have now. I really can't remember the song name. They're good, but it's not one of those songs where it's like memorable, where you're listening to it on the car ride home and just continue weeping until you make it into bed. No, no, it's a good show. I definitely encourage people to watch it. But, you know, I have clients who are doing, you know, park hop. They tell me, which one should we watch, Epcot or Hollywood Studios? You don't miss it?
That's.
[00:55:19] Speaker A: That's.
[00:55:20] Speaker C: That's the answer. You don't.
You don't miss Happily Ever after and you don't miss Fantasmic, do With it what you will.
So, you know, is it a.
[00:55:28] Speaker A: So that's why you need at least two days.
[00:55:31] Speaker C: Correct.
It's still a good show.
I think it's gonna stay around for a while.
It's very sweet that they incorporate the different languages for the different songs they use depending on the different countries around. You know, the world Showcase case. Very, very inclusive.
Beautiful, beautiful. Truly. What they could do with water, water projections and fireworks and lights and lasers.
And then on top of that, you know, like a honorable mention, if you will.
There is actually a sort of show at Space, at the ball of Spaceship Earth.
They have a song and, like, some light work that they do. And I think they show it a few times each evening as well. So it's kind of like, nice. When people are leaving World Showcased and heading towards the parking lot, they can stop by Spaceship Earth and kind of see, you know, what kind of light shows going on. The music, the fanfare, the oohs and the ahs.
Very, very pretty. So that's Epcot for you. I also did want to do one more honorable mention here on the east coast, and that is at Animal Kingdom. No, they do not have a show year round.
However, pre daylight savings, when Animal Kingdom does close in the evening, when it's dark out, they do have a show called Tree of Life Awakenings.
And that is a projection onto the Tree of Life because, yes, at Animal Kingdom, we have live animals and they don't include fireworks or drones or anything like that to not spook the animals.
But for a good portion of the year, they do have this nighttime experience.
And when nighttime hits, they actually do this projection after dark and occurs approximately every 10 minutes until the park closes.
So, you know, just something neat, something that you can look forward to. It's not like a big hoorah. I know Animal Kingdom, we didn't really dive into Animal Kingdom much, but they used to have some great shows, too. They used to have a water projection show.
Yes.
[00:57:58] Speaker B: Kelton called a Jungle Book Alive with Magic.
[00:58:02] Speaker C: Is that what it was called? I remember watching it and I loved it.
[00:58:05] Speaker B: Oh, they had Rivers of Light.
[00:58:07] Speaker C: Oh, that's the one I saw.
[00:58:08] Speaker B: Rivers of Light was after Jungle Book Alive with Magic. But if you had to add anything, Jungle Book Alive With Magic was the way to go. Rivers of Light, not so much.
[00:58:20] Speaker C: I enjoyed it. I thought it was nice to have that because Animal Kingdom, other than that Tree of Life show, half of the year, there's nothing else. So it's nice.
But anyways, that concludes Walt Disney World. We need to speed it up, guys.
[00:58:39] Speaker A: I mean, it's.
Well, I feel like we.
These are the ones that we're very passionate about because these are the ones that we regularly go to.
[00:58:50] Speaker C: I can talk about the California ones, since I've seen them all, if you want, and I can be quick about it.
[00:58:54] Speaker B: Go for it.
[00:58:55] Speaker C: Okay, so Disneyland park has two nighttime shows, Fantasmic, which we talked about briefly, and Wondrous Journeys. Fantasmic over there. Like Kelton said, people argue that it's a better show that's subject to change because I don't necessarily feel that way, but I will get to that later.
[00:59:15] Speaker A: Gasp.
I know.
Wondrous Journeys are clutching their pearls.
[00:59:22] Speaker C: Wondrous Journey is very sweet. It does emphasize Pixar animation. Yes. They say Walt Disney animation gets recognized. I think right now, for the 70th celebration, they might have incorporated more movies like Coco.
But when I saw it last year, it was very Pixar heavy.
And even though it's very nice, it is nothing in comparison to what we have here at Magic Kingdom with Happily Ever After. Mainly because you have to be at, like, Main street to be able to see some of the. To be able to see properly, see projections and the fireworks, because otherwise their castle is extremely small. So I couldn't see anything without my glasses. And even with my glasses, I was struggling from Main Street. But then at Main street, you're almost, like, looking to either side to see what the scenes are and missing some of the fireworks. So it's just. It's just a little bit unbalanced. Only because of the size of the castle. It's still magical, especially if you like Pixar. It's great. I'm more of a classic, you know, Disney animation. So I like ours and nods to, you know, Mulan and parts of the Caribbean and, you know, even Tiana.
So. But Fantasmic, it's great. It's longer. There's certain things that it does have there that we don't have here on the East Coast. However, what really, really plays a huge role into why I don't favor it is because you are standing watching it, and it is at the very end of the night. They have two shows, but I went at the very last one because, well, I was trying to get a good spot without it cutting my whole day.
And, you know, people do tend, with little kids, tend to go to the earlier viewing, and by the end of the night, your feet are hurting so much, and the fact that you don't have anywhere to sit and there's a Lot of obstructions.
So if you have like a dining or something, like a dining package, you get certain viewing areas and seatings without obstruction. But if you're otherwise, the layout is a little inconvenient, and that kind of just ruins it a little bit for me.
It's not as widespread as, like, Magic Kingdom all through Main street.
So I think that's the only reason why I would prefer Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. But anyways, that's Disneyland, California Adventure. They have World of Color by far, bar none out of the three shows over in California. World of Color has my heart.
I cannot wait to go back and see it again. It is phenomenal. Their water projections, their lasers, the music, the colors, you. It is captivating from the first moment. And this one's a little bit more open area. It's like. It's a more open area for you to stand and sit or whatever. And so it's much more comfortable to watch and easier to get a better spot to see.
Loved it. I always recommend my clients, like, if you're gonna park, hop, and you want my opinion as to what my favorite show was, I would say World of Color. It is beautiful. And again, it is different from anything that we have in Walt Disney World, the closest being Epcot. And it really is not even anything like Epcot. So it's. It's very unique to California and it's beautiful. That's World of Color. And I just want to honorable mention. All of these shows currently for the 70th anniversary have had like a revamp. So it's a slightly different version than what normally is there year round. We don't know how long it's going to last, if it's going to last until next summer or if it's staying for longer. But that is California next.
[01:03:28] Speaker A: And then we'll briefly go over the international options. You have Disney Dreams over there in Paris.
[01:03:40] Speaker C: Drone show.
[01:03:42] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:03:42] Speaker C: Very cool. Drone show. Can't wait to see that one.
[01:03:45] Speaker A: Yes.
Momentous over there in Hong Kong.
Believe Dream. Sea of Dreams over there in Tokyo, which.
That is a bucket list of mine. I want to go to Tokyo. Disney and Tokyo sees.
But I mean it again, we've. We've talked about before the Disney does nighttime shows, right? Like, they are a captivating perfect. Yes, they're a perfect. End of your day, like, if you. If you don't get. I've.
The only time I've ever really left disappointed leaving a Disney park is when I don't get to see a show at the end of the Night.
I feel like my day, like something is missing.
And then just like, well, I guess I got to go back.
You know, my last. My. My last time at Hollywood Studios, I didn't get to see Fantasmic. I guess I got to go back.
Oh, so, so hard.
Well, I mean, we have.
[01:05:05] Speaker C: And even when you do see it, you still want to go back and see it again.
[01:05:09] Speaker A: You know, I missed that. I gotta go back so I can see it.
Darn.
But before we end our episode, we're going to do a little bit of this or that.
So this is going to be rapid fire.
Steph Kelton, are you all ready?
[01:05:32] Speaker B: Yes.
Okay, so, Steph, you got to come off mute.
[01:05:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
We've talked about. There's a great debate with Fantasmic between Disney World over Disneyland.
If you had to pick, which one would you pick?
[01:05:51] Speaker B: Disney World.
[01:05:52] Speaker C: Disney World.
[01:05:54] Speaker A: Okay.
So, Steph, you talked about World of Color, having your heart.
World of Color or Happily Ever After?
[01:06:05] Speaker C: Happily Ever After. That only has my heart in California, but in comparison, nah. Happily Ever After.
[01:06:14] Speaker A: So fireworks or projections?
[01:06:19] Speaker B: Fireworks.
[01:06:19] Speaker C: Fireworks.
[01:06:23] Speaker A: So now you say that you're getting ready to view Happily Ever After.
Do you prefer a castle view or little further back, like back of the park, quiet spot, Castle view.
[01:06:48] Speaker C: The only reason I'm in the back of the park is to go on rides while everyone else is watching the show.
And I'm a show girly.
[01:06:55] Speaker A: I will say people mover. While Happily Ever after is going on is magical.
Or as you're going down used to be Splash Mountain. Now Tiana's Bayou Adventure while fireworks are going off over the castle is a magical moment in itself.
[01:07:15] Speaker C: The next question is, do you watch the fireworks or the. The show at Epcot? From America or from Internet. Not international gateway, but what's that area called?
Crappy. Crappy.
[01:07:34] Speaker B: The entrance to the World Showcase.
[01:07:35] Speaker C: Yes. Port of entry. Thank you.
[01:07:37] Speaker B: Port of entry.
[01:07:40] Speaker A: I say if you can try to do a dessert party.
[01:07:46] Speaker B: Great segue there, Brooks.
[01:07:48] Speaker A: Yes.
So we're going. We are literally going to end this episode with some pro tips or as we have coined from Ginny, our Joey tips.
[01:08:06] Speaker C: Except Joey didn't give us any tips today.
[01:08:10] Speaker B: Joey Fatone. Come on.
[01:08:12] Speaker A: Come on.
But what are some. What would you say are some maybe hidden gems on so many on.
I mean, we know. We know of some of the best spots for viewing the fireworks site. If you're able to get on the gr. On the hub of watching the fireworks on Happily Ever After.
[01:08:38] Speaker C: Brooks, do you want to talk about dessert party real quick? Since you Already segued into it.
[01:08:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
So if you ever have a chance and you have a little bit of money, extra money to spend, highly recommend doing a dessert party. Whether you're at, I mean, if you can anywhere, try to do a dessert party to view the fireworks, especially at Animal Magic Kingdom, because number one. Hello. You get desserts, but then you also get priority seating. So you get in that grassy hub area in Magic Kingdom and you have if, especially if it's a crowded night, if you're trying to get a good view of happily ever after, you're either in the same spot for a long time and you're standing very scrunched together, you know.
But if you do a dessert party, you get to spread out a little bit in that hub. Like it get, it gets a little bit crowded once everyone's gravitated from the, from the dessert party to the viewing. But you, you still have a, you still have a little bit of space. So if you get a little claustrophobic, highly recommend doing a dessert party.
[01:10:05] Speaker C: So right now they only have them for Magic Kingdom because at Epcot they do special events.
[01:10:11] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:10:11] Speaker C: But pre Covid, they used to have them at all at three parks, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Post Covid, we still haven't seen it come back at Hollywood Studios nor Epcot for public purchase the way that you can at Magic Kingdom. But you never know, Disney might have something up their sleeves. What you can do at Epcot. Now, if you're an adult, you can get a, what is it called? Luminous package. Adult package viewing. No. Luminous viewing package. Wow. Brain fart at the new Geo82 adult lounge. And it might run you up a little bit, but those are unbeatable views. If that's something that is important for you to be able to watch it while in the AC sitting and sipping on some delicious cocktails, shout out to my favorite bartender there, Juan.
Yes, that's you. All right, moving on.
My next tip very, very fun and unique tip is VIP tour.
If you also have a little extra money to do a VIP tour, don't sleep on this, guys. This is like your personal.
You get a guide, you get premier Pass style Lightning Lane experience. So you get to skip all the lines and you don't have to just limit yourself to just one park.
Brooks, you're gonna say something.
[01:11:37] Speaker A: If you want to feel like a celebrity, do a VIP tour.
[01:11:40] Speaker C: Quite literally. But here's what people don't really know is that if you do purchase a VIP tour, which is a minimum of 7 hour purchase you can customize your experience to begin whenever you want. And if you wanna be able to have a VIP tour experience during the fireworks show, you can tell your guide, let them know. So you can accommodate your start time and be able to have this quote unquote, private viewing area for the shows, for any of the shows, really, at any of the parks. So that's another pro tip that people don't always realize. And it does. It is no extra cost if you decide you wanted to do this with a VIP tour.
Another. Another thing that I think. Another spot that I think is fantastic to be able to watch the fireworks at Epcot Japan. Japan has a second floor. There's a. There's a couple restaurants in that second floor, but there is almost like a balcony area outside one of the restaurants. And it kind of gives you an elevated point of view of the lake. And if you're able to snag a spot, and they do, people do know this spot. So it doesn't always have availability, but if you're able to snag a spot, it is unbeatable. Those views of the lake. So that's one of my favorites.
This one was mentioned to me by a cast member. If you ever watch the Epcot shows by the African Pavilion, it's kind of small, but it's one of the only places around World Showcase where you don't get sprayed, you don't get inundated with fireworks smoke. There's kind of like a draft that pushes away from there. So if you're sensitive and you're. You just don't want to deal with any of that, you can try and find a spot by the African Pavilion and you kind of hide from. From those fumes that not everyone likes. Yeah, but those are like my main tips, honestly.
I mean, there's more, but those are the first. The top. The ones that are the top of my head.
[01:13:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Calton, do you have any.
[01:13:55] Speaker B: Lightning lanes?
Yeah, if you need. Need be.
You know, if you don't have.
Because the VIPs are expensive, sometimes the dessert parties can be expensive. If you can grab a lightning lane at the end, towards the end of your day for the viewing in The Magic Kingdom 4. Happily ever after.
Strongly recommended for Fantasmic. You do have the dining package, which now I believe is just Hollywood.
Wow. The Brown Derby in Hollywood. In Hollywood studios and 50s primetime. And. Oh, what's the third one? It's right there.
[01:14:34] Speaker C: Hollywood and Vine.
[01:14:36] Speaker B: Yep. Those are three options for the Fantasmic dining package.
[01:14:41] Speaker C: Sci Fi.
[01:14:42] Speaker B: Sci Fi. Thank you.
[01:14:43] Speaker C: Fourth I don't know if Woody's has it. Now that I think about, I don't think it.
[01:14:47] Speaker B: Woody's does not.
[01:14:48] Speaker C: Does not.
But nighttime shows, they really do make or break a trip. Break by if you don't see it.
I peop. I know families and people do cry if it, if they can't see it and it'll make it because it's just the best way. And, and for all of you guys listening out here, you know, these are like your year round shows. But what Disney does incredible is that if you have like a special experience, like right now, you have a Disneyland of the 70th, they have other shows, they even have a nighttime parade and other things going on catered to that here in Walt Disney World for Mickey's very merry and Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. Disney has their own nighttime shows for that as well, which just elevates the whole experience to be able to see a different theme at the parks or specifically Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios with Jollywood Nights.
So there are plenty and then some for shows. Fireworks, lasers, you name it. And you know, Disney is always in the business of innovating and improving and coming up with new ideas. So you know, now's the best time to see these shows because you never know what's coming down the pipeline and we all know there's a lot. So yeah, you don't want to miss out on these while they're still around.
[01:16:19] Speaker B: Yeah, couldn't agree more.
[01:16:23] Speaker A: Exactly. Well, I think that just about does it for us. Talking about nighttimes spectaculars. We did. Still, we did have a trivia question.
Kelton, did you want to.
I do. The answer to trivia, I do.
[01:16:42] Speaker B: So today's trivia question brought to you by Fairy Tale Journeys Travel was how much on average does Disney World or the Disney company in general spend on a fireworks show in Europe? U.S.
and your answer, shockingly, is the price of a good used car. I'm talking 20 to $30,000 per night.
[01:17:09] Speaker C: Less than what I thought, I'll tell you that much.
[01:17:12] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean it for what you get. I feel like it's a good deal.
[01:17:18] Speaker B: That's a great deal. Yes.
[01:17:22] Speaker A: Oh well, folks, that just about does it.
