And welcome back the Meu, the Mouse Ears Universe and Heidi Ho.
Neighbors, I am one of your wonderful, beautiful hosts, Brooks. And with me tonight, we have the full crew here.
We have Kelton down there in the great state of Texas. Kelton, how are you doing?
[00:01:41] Speaker B: Well, we're getting a little bit of rain, so it's kind of wet outside. Nothing we can't handle here. We had Harvey. We'll do just fine. Promise.
[00:01:49] Speaker A: Yeah.
And over there in North Carolina, raising up, we have Jenny. Jenny, how are you doing?
You're on mute.
[00:02:00] Speaker B: She's doing fantastic.
[00:02:02] Speaker C: Of course I am fantastic.
[00:02:06] Speaker D: Hi, everyone.
[00:02:09] Speaker C: Oh, it's gonna be a fun episode.
[00:02:11] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. And then over there and the Flo Rida State, we have Steph. Steph, how are you doing?
[00:02:19] Speaker D: I am wonderful, Brooks. I am sporting some Mickey PJs today for this very special episode. We're going to have a number party too.
[00:02:30] Speaker A: That's right. We're all decked out in some piece of Disney.
I'm wearing a Roosevelt's Disney hoodie.
Kelton with that amazing Disney shirt, and Ginny with the Mickey ears and polka dot PJs because. Yeah, and polka dot PJs.
So.
Well, guys, we're gonna braid each other's hair and we're gonna tell scary stories. Like the one time where the guy did not meet me at the mall and. No.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: I feel a mean girls reference coming on.
[00:03:11] Speaker A: No, that's tomorrow. We're wearing pink.
So everyone, if you didn't listen to the intro, which means you skip the full first minute or so, I don't know why you would do that. But we are celebrating 100 episodes of the Mouse Ears Podcast.
We have hit triple digits.
[00:03:39] Speaker D: I mean, it's exciting.
[00:03:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:03:43] Speaker D: I can't believe that we started this two years ago and already we hit 100 episodes.
Yeah, it's been a journey.
[00:03:51] Speaker A: It's crazy, but we're going to have a little bit of a retrospective episode looking back at how Mouse Ears podcast started.
You know, some of our favorite moments episodes.
But before we get into that, we are going to do our trivia question.
And I did not bring like my glasses, but bringing back Christian Brooks Runner for the pot for the trivia question.

Tonight's trivia question, I know a man of many talents.
Tonight's trivia question, you know, we're celebrating 100 episodes.
How, what, what percentage of podcasts make it to 100 episodes?
I can tell you it's not a large number.
So jot it down or think about it. If you're driving, don't, don't write in drive. And we will tell you at the end of the episode.
Now let's get into this, guys.
100 episodes like that, that's a fever dream. Whenever we first kind of started everything.
[00:06:00] Speaker D: I think you need to tell the people how this started.
[00:06:04] Speaker A: So this started before Ellie was born?
Yeah, this started before Ellie was born.
[00:06:13] Speaker B: You should start it. Almost like how if we were at, you know, the Hyporion Theater in Hollywood Studios when Frozen after Ever after starts one of their shows, you know, like the, the historians come out, you know, and they go to start the show and somebody goes, it was like a, you know, great and stormy night or somebody lost a mom or God knows what, you know, however they do it that way.
[00:06:42] Speaker A: It was a dark, stormy evening in ancient Greece.
[00:06:46] Speaker D: Don't forget to thank the Phoenicians.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: That's right.
And there was nothing. And then there was light.
But no. So this started in a.
Just a random, I mean, it was random post. I think.
[00:07:10] Speaker B: I am pretty sure the post was by you.
[00:07:13] Speaker A: Yeah, I think like, literally I have been wanting to do another podcast for a while.
I had dabbled in a couple.
I've talked about it before. My brother and I had done a podcast, the BB&J podcast, where just two brothers rambling. We rambled quite a bit. I know, shocker.
But we had some technical difficulties and we kind of. We stopped after a few episodes, which is very common amongst a lot of podcasts.
And then Kelsey and I tried to do a podcast for a while, Walkers on Main Street.
And I think we made it to about 10 episodes.
And then she got burned out on it.
[00:08:10] Speaker D: Very easy to say.
[00:08:12] Speaker A: Yeah, very easy.
[00:08:13] Speaker D: Walkers on Main Street.
Phenomenal name.
Seriously.
[00:08:18] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that was. That was all Kelsey. Like, she, like, the episodes are still on Apple podcasts, so if you want to look at it, well, listen to it. Go take a. Go take a listen.
I think one of the episodes, we did a spoiler free review on Cruella when it came out.
[00:08:41] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:08:42] Speaker A: Showing how long that. How long ago that was.
And she came up with like a beautiful logo. She and everything. Like, she did a really good job with it.
But I had the itch again to start a podcast and I literally, in our agents page, I just put out there, hey, anybody want to do a podcast?
And my boy Kelton answered, and him and I connected. We had never talked to each other before that post.
And then we talked to him. It's like, let's do this thing.
So we.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: Yeah, we did. And then you, me, and. And Suzanne, the owner of Fairy Tale Journeys, had a conversation and then we put out because, you know, we were like, well, I mean, there's, you know, us. We needed some more people.
[00:09:44] Speaker D: And.
[00:09:44] Speaker A: And then.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: So put that out on the Facebook group. Cara joined us for season one.
So, you know, she commented, we brought her on, and then I got this message from some poor agent that was too busy doing something, you know, that she couldn't even bother to get to this meeting on time.
So she does the last thing anybody would think and messages me going, hey, like, I went to school for broadcasting. Like, I think I can do this.
And there she is up there, you know.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:24] Speaker B: So the four. You know.
Yeah, there were four of us that started this journey, and we were making our own intros we were struggling to come up with.
[00:10:37] Speaker D: Do you remember our first intro? We were using Morse code to spell out mouse ears.
[00:10:43] Speaker B: Hold on a second. Let me see.
[00:10:44] Speaker D: I think we had a totally different logo and everything. Oh, I hope you do. That'd be a blast from the past of two years ago.
There's the original logo.
[00:10:55] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:11:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
And that was all edited freehand by us on the Odyssey App. It's a free audio engineer.
[00:11:27] Speaker A: We still use it today.
[00:11:29] Speaker B: And, and I don't know about you, Brooks, but I've been using that program for 15ish years. Something like. It has taken 15 years to figure that program out and I still only do so much.
[00:11:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I, I've used it for all the podcasts that I've done. And yeah, I'm, I'm still learning. They're still adding things to it too. It's a lot more advanced than what it was.
[00:11:55] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:11:58] Speaker A: But, yeah, so we, we start, we, we started the first season and then after the first season, Kara had to step away. So for the second season, it was the Three Amigos.
And then we did this one episode where we talked about DAs and we had this wonderful agent on that. I feel like we all just. Yeah, very knowledgeable. I feel like we all just clicked.
[00:12:36] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:12:37] Speaker A: So much so that in season three, we were like, hey, will you be a permanent host? And that is Jenny.
[00:12:45] Speaker D: Hi.
[00:12:46] Speaker C: So, yeah, that was amazing how that happened. Like, you know, because I didn't know you and you know Kelton very well, even though we're in the same agency, I didn't know you very well.
Stephanie and I were, you know, really good friends and I was like, yeah, let's come on and talk about DAs. And it just seemed like it was just kind of magic. Like we had always been talking, you know, so, yeah, I was very grateful for the opportunity, so.
[00:13:22] Speaker B: Oh, it's been so much fun.
[00:13:24] Speaker C: It has been a lot of fun.
[00:13:25] Speaker A: Yeah. And then since he's. And then since the start of season three, it has been, you know, the four of us rocking and rolling. Yep.
So.
[00:13:40] Speaker D: It'S been magical.
[00:13:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:41] Speaker D: Oh, I really do.
You know, it's funny because people don't really get to see all of the behind the scenes stuff. I mean, that's, you know, in a nutshell, how things started two and a half years ago. But every single week there's a group chat.
We're talking in there pretty much every single day. Honestly, we, we all became quite a close group. You know, we consider ourselves family and, you know, this is just, this has been kind of like a passion project. I'd say something that we're all very, very, very much in love with. You know, I, I've always been in love with our mouse ears community and our podcast episodes. And when we don't record on Thursdays, it's like, you know, you don't.
You feel like something, something feels off. Right. It becomes such a staple.
But there's so much that does go behind the scenes. Pre planning, reaching out to guests.
What are the episodes going to look like? What. What is the month going to look like? Because there's always so many topics and we're always so passionate and excited about so many things to talk about. Trying to fit it in with what, what's going on outside of, you know, the podcast, with holidays and with, you know, the time of year promotions. How do we fit everything, you know, so it's not just a one and a half hour podcast episode.
So much more every single week. Planning, pre planning, post editing.
And then, you know, seriously, we'll take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour before every episode.
Just, I want to say warming up sports team. But it's like the best. It's not, you know, not really. We'll do sound checks and stuff, but it's the best way for me to explain it.
Then we record and then afterwards we're waiting to see if everything is uploaded correctly. Yes, no, whatever. We finish our laughs. I mean, you know, and the fact that we're able to be our authentic selves and for all of you guys out there listening to us, to have followed along with us for 100 episodes, or maybe not 100, but this far, clearly, you know, you, you can resonate with us and how everything that we talk about and, you know, the chemistry that all four of us have is so genuine. We genuinely laugh at each other and.
[00:16:12] Speaker C: With each other and at each other.
[00:16:17] Speaker D: And hopefully you do too. It's just, oh, it's been such a wild ride. It's been great.
[00:16:23] Speaker A: Like, I remember one of our first episodes, I think it was our first episode where we did not discuss a Disney topic. We were talking about, I think the top three attractions at Islands of Adventure at Universal. And it was Steph. It was you, me and Kelton on that episode. Season one, I think it was like episode four or five and like, we were still getting to know each other.
And I'm. And I put as my honorable mention that my fourth, basically favorite ride at Island Adventure was riding the moving sidewalk at CityWalk to Voodoo Donuts.
And y' all bragged me so hard on that.
[00:17:19] Speaker D: And it was a rough episode because I was cackling the whole time. But, like, genuinely, like, we had a great time. I was still very nervous. We were trying to still find our footing with each other because we had never even met in person. Like, this was, oh, hey, we're just vibing electronically and hoping it works, you know, and.
[00:17:40] Speaker A: But it was season three before we met in person.
[00:17:44] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. A year ago. Less than a year ago. But we had the best time on that episode despite it still being like. I remember, like the awkward pauses, like, should I talk? Are you gonna talk? Who's gonna talk next? Like, I don't want to step on any toes.
[00:17:59] Speaker B: And now we just talk over each other.
[00:18:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:18:02] Speaker B: Like, who's got the louder.
[00:18:03] Speaker A: My family does.
Like family does.
[00:18:06] Speaker C: It's like family.
[00:18:08] Speaker D: Exactly, exactly.
But season one, that was.
[00:18:15] Speaker B: That's an interesting one.
[00:18:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:18:17] Speaker D: You know.
[00:18:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:18:19] Speaker D: What were you gonna say, Brooks? Go for it.
[00:18:20] Speaker A: No, no, no, you go ahead.
[00:18:22] Speaker D: I was just gonna say, you know what's crazy is when we were discussing what were some of the episodes that were meaningful to us beforehand before, you know, recording and just kind of reminiscing on some of the older episodes, I didn't even remember that we actually celebrated the Walt Disney Company's hundredth anniversary while recording the Mouse Ears podcast. So if you remember the Once Upon a Story short that Disney made beautiful. We all cried. We all sobbed, actually. We. A whole episode. Just testament to just how beautifully made that was. Beautifully made. But I think it's just kind of neat that we celebrate. We're now celebrating our hundredth episode. We celebrated 100 years of Disney and who knows what the future has in store.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
Literally, the fact that we've reached triple digits is impressive. Mind blowing.
[00:19:26] Speaker D: Yeah.
Yeah.
[00:19:28] Speaker A: But I could have sworn.
[00:19:30] Speaker B: I mean, like, you know, we talk about the hundred episode and how much time it puts in, you know, I flashback to remember of Christmas of 2024.
Texting. I was texting Brooks going, dude, I can't do this anymore. Like, I, you know, I'm gonna have to pull out. This is it.
It's been fun, but it was, you know, it just.
And somehow, I mean, with how much you took over it, it just.
And I'm thankful that you convinced me to come on and you know, go through season four because we had, we have done, you know, so much just over this season too, with getting to record at the, the.
The 15th anniversary summit for FTJ, you know, getting to do some cool stuff there as well. I'm like, we've done all of us.
[00:20:26] Speaker D: Going to Jelly Rolls together.
[00:20:28] Speaker A: Y.
So much fun.
[00:20:30] Speaker C: That was a fun night.
[00:20:32] Speaker B: We lived. I. Brooks, you and I left jelly rolls at 1 o' clock and I had to get up at 3:30 for my flight back home.
[00:20:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Editing. Brooks, insert videos from Jelly Roll here in here.
[00:20:46] Speaker B: Oh, there's some good ones in there too.
[00:20:48] Speaker A: Oh, there are yeah, there. There have to be. Probably just the videos. Probably couldn't do the sound due to copyright, but.
But yeah, I think that would be okay.
Yeah, but I know it.
[00:21:06] Speaker D: We had so many, like, new topics this season, honestly, because for those of you that have been listening to us, you know, we're passionate about Disney. We do love Universal, but Disney, Disney reigns supreme. Sorry. Not sorry. But this, this season was kind of like very universal heavy. Yeah, well, we had Epic Universe that opened up. We had a whole month to it.
[00:21:33] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:21:34] Speaker D: Yeah, we. We had, you know, time dedicated to talking about fairy tale journeys because of their 50th year and the summit we had talked about. We introduced Virgin Voyages, which was a phenomenal two part episode. If you have not listened to that, please do so. We had a phenomenal, phenomenal guest as well. Shout out to Lindsey Girardi.
Who else? Ooh, Dom Corona.
[00:22:00] Speaker B: Oh, that was Festival of the Art.
[00:22:02] Speaker C: Yeah, that was amazing.
[00:22:03] Speaker D: Back to Disney. But that one was. Wow.
[00:22:06] Speaker B: That was a different twist when it comes to an episode.
[00:22:10] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:22:11] Speaker D: And that was also a two parter. We just can't help it when we have some of these.
[00:22:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we. We had. I feel like we had probably more two parter episodes this season than one parters.
[00:22:22] Speaker C: And for the record, so much good.
[00:22:24] Speaker D: Content and we still had to cut the conversation short. Like, I think for a lot of our two parters with guests, we actually had to cut the document with the notes halfway through recording because we realized, wow, we really cannot cover everything we wanted to. And we easily could have if it wasn't, you know, 10 o' clock at night on a Thursday night.
[00:22:50] Speaker A: But can't be in like the Nate Land podcast that goes three, four hours each week.
[00:22:57] Speaker D: No, we can't.
[00:22:59] Speaker A: That.
[00:22:59] Speaker D: I don't want to know what that.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: Could you imagine trying to edit that?
[00:23:03] Speaker A: I don't know if they do much editing.
[00:23:06] Speaker C: I don't think they do much editing.
[00:23:09] Speaker A: Yeah, I think all the editing is switching the camera feeds.
[00:23:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I want that.
[00:23:17] Speaker D: I would be curious if our audience would like live recordings just seeing us.
[00:23:23] Speaker C: Because Lord help us.
[00:23:26] Speaker B: I would love to live stream.
[00:23:30] Speaker D: Just see us in all of our raw beauty.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: Just write us. As soon. As soon as we sit down, we just hit record. Live stream. There we go. You know, it's all. And everybody just rumble, you know, in the background trying to clean things up because, you know, I've done a great job at that. Just look like there's now a drum.
[00:23:49] Speaker D: I sat here pre recording doing my makeup and you guys are just like.
[00:23:55] Speaker A: Oh, I mean, you talk about cleaning up. I'm zoomed in right now, so you don't see the literal chaos in the room. Like, there's nowhere to walk right now.
[00:24:12] Speaker D: Too funny.
[00:24:13] Speaker A: So.
[00:24:15] Speaker D: Well, you know, I think it's all part of, like, each of our authentic selves. And I just. There are editing, but honestly, guys, the majority. I'd say probably 97% of the editing is just taking out silence so that the episode can be a little bit quicker, or else you'd probably be listening to a lot longer than an hour a week, to be honest. But, you know, shout out to Brooks and Kelton for always editing, always. Whether it's audio or video. We love them. You love them. They are our editor master. So a round of applause for you guys for 100 episodes of editing.
[00:24:58] Speaker B: Good job, Brooks.
[00:25:00] Speaker A: Good job, Kelton.
[00:25:01] Speaker B: And if you don't love us, well, keep it to yourself. We don't want to hear it.
[00:25:07] Speaker A: If you don't love us, don't let the door hit you with the good Lord. Split you.
[00:25:11] Speaker B: That's right. Brooks, what else are we talking about tonight?
[00:25:14] Speaker A: Yeah, well, my. My thoughts were, like, you know, and we've talked about some of them already, but, like, some of our favorite episodes, favorite moments.
[00:25:27] Speaker B: I think that's a good idea.
[00:25:28] Speaker A: And then also, like, maybe we could talk about some episodes that we haven't, like, haven't covered. Like.
Well, like, dream topics that we haven't done.
[00:25:43] Speaker D: I'll tell you my dream topic we haven't done yet.
[00:25:45] Speaker B: Oh, we're starting. There you go. Take it away.
[00:25:47] Speaker C: There we go.
[00:25:49] Speaker D: Aulani.
We have not had a Lonnie yet. That one's one that we've always talked about, but we haven't. Like, something always ends up coming up.
[00:25:59] Speaker A: Yeah, I think. I think. I think the one we only talked about, Lonnie, I think in one episode. I think it was in season one where we talked about different Disney destinations.
So I remember I had. I think I had to do a Lonnie. And you think my Spanish is bad, trying to pronounce some of those Hawaiian words.
So.
[00:26:22] Speaker D: So, yeah, Aulani is one that I wish we would have already done because that's, you know, a very important Disney destination. I mean, we did Adventures by Disney, for crying out loud, twice.
We need to do.
Heck, yeah.
We need to do National Geographic. But I feel like Alani is much more attainable.
And that one. That one was. Is. Is my dream episode currently that I can think of off the top of my head. All right, next. Who's the next person.
[00:26:56] Speaker A: I would say, like, I think some of, like, the fever dream ones that we had paging Mr. Morrow.
Like that dapper Danielle, which we actually got to. I actually got to meet dapper Danielle.
[00:27:12] Speaker C: She is so nice.
[00:27:13] Speaker A: Yeah, she. She is a delight.
[00:27:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:27:16] Speaker C: She complimented my ears once.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: Yeah. What you see in her videos, that's her.
Which thoroughly appreciate.
[00:27:29] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:27:31] Speaker A: But I'll go. Like, some of my favorite episodes, like when we had the running ohana on here with Jordan and Robbie talking about.
[00:27:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:44] Speaker A: The.
[00:27:44] Speaker B: The Disney races.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: Yeah. And just the gym that Robbie. Is it. Is it. I will say this. It is a crime that he doesn't have his own podcast.
[00:27:58] Speaker B: Can we.
[00:27:58] Speaker A: The world. The world needs more Robbie.
[00:28:01] Speaker B: There are two instances that come to my head when I think of Robbie and this podcast.
Number one, him completely blowing up the tick tock video, talking about something about a princess, and then Princess Leia.
[00:28:19] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:28:19] Speaker B: I. So we're gonna mark. We're gonna earmark that one at 27 minutes and nine seconds for that video. And then the Halloween Horror nights episode.
[00:28:30] Speaker C: That was one of my favorites.
[00:28:32] Speaker A: The wealth of knowledge. Like, I could just listen. Like, I would. I would have been perfect. Perfectly happy. Be like, Robbie, I just want to hear your thoughts. I'm not saying a single word.
Go.
[00:28:45] Speaker C: Yeah, just let him talk.
[00:28:46] Speaker A: He would have been able to talk for an hour, and it would be riveting.
[00:28:51] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:28:52] Speaker C: That was amazing. That was a great episode.
[00:28:55] Speaker D: Yeah, that was enjoyable. I loved Kelton's Baby March Madness, specifically.
[00:29:01] Speaker B: From season two, the restaurants table service.
[00:29:09] Speaker D: Can we give a shout out to Elise Woodley, who was one of our most, you know, returning guests? And we just love Elise, but she was hysterical, and I had the pleasure of recording that episode with her at home.
So, you know, that was. That was memorable.
[00:29:28] Speaker A: I mean, she risked her marriage for that episode. She did.
[00:29:31] Speaker D: She did.
That is a true Mouse ears fan right there.
[00:29:38] Speaker C: Oh, thank you, Mr. Elise, for letting Elise.
[00:29:41] Speaker B: Thank you, Josh.
That. That one was such a fun one to watch with Brooks having the light up cowboy hat.
[00:29:52] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
[00:29:53] Speaker B: Putting the work in. And then for me not being able to record because we went to a very mediocre rodeo concert that night, which I was. And still extremely salty about to this day.
Like, yeah, that was such a great episode.
Watch.
No, the concert was a great disappointment. The rodeo was fantastic. Hello. I had deep fried Oreos.
That was the highlight of my night.
Either that or paying, like, 29 for two beers.
I'm not sure which one was more of my highlight.
[00:30:35] Speaker D: So that Was.
That was a great episode, wasn't it, man? You know what other episode I really enjoyed recording? I mean, I enjoyed a lot of episodes. Guys, this is just off the top, but our. Our spouse night.
[00:30:52] Speaker A: I hate that I missed that one.
[00:30:53] Speaker D: Casey and Michael. Yeah, we need. We need to do another one with Brian.
[00:30:58] Speaker A: We were.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Yeah, we were ranking the.
Our ranking of the deluxe resort and villas on Disney property. I am still very upset on where old Key west landed to this day.
Very upset, Very disappointed.
[00:31:19] Speaker A: You know who else would be very disappointed in that Brooks project.
[00:31:24] Speaker B: Oh, yes. See, Yes, I knew Peter. I knew I liked Shout Out.
[00:31:28] Speaker A: Shout out to season one where we had Peter Burkhart.
[00:31:31] Speaker D: Yes, that was a good one too.
[00:31:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
Which he was also a wealth of knowledge on Halloween horror nights as well.
[00:31:38] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:31:40] Speaker A: That one, I will say, was one of the hardest episodes to edit because. Yeah, because he had a.
I think there were a lot of storms and he was having Internet issues.
I think he cut out, I think six or seven times.
[00:31:59] Speaker D: Yes, that's right.
We learned fast.
[00:32:05] Speaker A: Yeah, that was a learning experience.
[00:32:09] Speaker D: Yeah. When there'll be times, guys, we're recording and we're having technical issues. You may or may not catch it in our facial expressions.
Not in the editing, though, because what we end up doing is just continue recording, even though one of us might skip out on the Internet connection or something.
But we. We learned just keep. Keep the show going.
[00:32:32] Speaker A: Just keep. Just keep talking. Just keep talking. You just keep talking, talking.
[00:32:38] Speaker D: But oh, my gosh. One of the most challenging recording sessions was probably when we had FTJ agent Veronica Lofton earlier this season.
And her WI fi, she was using her phone, her hot spot.
And her. Her recording did not upload to a recording studio until. What was it? Brooks two in the morning. And Brooks stayed awake to make sure it was uploaded at 2 in the morning.
[00:33:11] Speaker C: I missed.
[00:33:11] Speaker A: Shout out to her to keep her computer on too.
[00:33:14] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I. I missed that episode. But Veronica and I are good friends. We live in the same town. And.
And I was like, how'd it go? And she's like, oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It wouldn't upload. I'm like, what do you mean it wouldn't upload? And she's like, my Internet was just so bad. She felt so, so bad about it. But it. It turned out to be a good, you know, a good episode. Everything worked.
[00:33:41] Speaker B: There was another.
What was that trivia night that was.
We did for that March Madness.
Yeah, I recorded in Cleveland. Cleveland, Ohio, that episode.
[00:33:58] Speaker D: That's Right.
[00:33:59] Speaker A: Which by the way, does Cleveland rock.
You know the song Cleveland Rocks? Cleveland Rocks?
[00:34:07] Speaker B: No, but what Cleveland's doing right now is probably gonna wipe the field with the astros. Is there 6 and 4 at the bottom of the 6, so not real happy right now.
[00:34:22] Speaker A: Well, you gotta keep their guards up, those guardians.
[00:34:27] Speaker D: Speaking of, I think that another thing that we should definitely mention is how many different places did we all record from? I mean, we were so dedicated that we were recording from all over the US and, and on any device, especially, especially Calton. On any device and from anywhere. We were, I mean, we, we, we were jumping through hoops to try and make ourselves available. And if we weren't able to record but we had like a team meeting, it was happening wherever we were.
[00:35:03] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay.
[00:35:04] Speaker B: Yeah, so let's, let's, let's, you know, rattle it off here.
[00:35:08] Speaker A: Where?
[00:35:09] Speaker B: Brooks, you recorded from some other place, right?
[00:35:14] Speaker A: I think so.
[00:35:14] Speaker B: I think there was one other place you did record. Was it from your brother's house and Augusta?
No, there.
[00:35:21] Speaker A: I thought there was.
No, I think I only recorded from here in Charleston.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: Okay, maybe I was wrong.
[00:35:32] Speaker D: I, I, goodness knows I recorded from Orlando a lot.
[00:35:39] Speaker B: Yeah, cuz you just rub it in.
[00:35:40] Speaker A: Why don't you just rub it in, Stephanie?
[00:35:45] Speaker D: I mean, I did it for the podcast.
[00:35:49] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:35:51] Speaker B: I've, I've recorded from Houston, San Francisco, Cleveland.
I think that's it.
[00:36:00] Speaker D: No way. There has to be more.
[00:36:02] Speaker B: I've had multiple hotels in San Francisco.
[00:36:05] Speaker C: But you did a lot in San Francisco. I feel like you were there a lot, especially during last season.
[00:36:11] Speaker B: I'm telling you, I will not stay at the Westin out there ever again because of that.
[00:36:19] Speaker A: The bad wifi.
[00:36:20] Speaker B: Yeah, so I had the bad wi fi at the Westin. And then when we recorded the Disney magic episode, that's when my, my earbuds were going out.
But that was at the A lock. They had good Internet. I should have stayed there.
[00:36:39] Speaker D: I like the a lot.
[00:36:40] Speaker C: I can't remember if I've done done it from Orlando or not, but I have. From Tifton, Georgia. From Clemson, South Carolina, actually from Clemson University. I was at Clemson University when I recorded that one.
And I want to say there's somewhere else that I was, but I don't.
Was I in Palmetto, Florida?
[00:37:09] Speaker B: Weren't you over in Tampa at one point? Or the west coast of Florida?
[00:37:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I think that was Palmetto. Palmetto, Yeah, I think it was Palmetto. Yeah.
Yeah.
[00:37:19] Speaker D: So we dedicated like nobody's business for this podcast, wherever we were, all the.
[00:37:28] Speaker B: Way from the east coast to the west.
[00:37:30] Speaker D: Yes. And shout out to our very supportive mouse ears spouses because a lot of what we have done couldn't be possible without them and their support and their patience. God knows their patience was very much appreciated.
[00:37:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:37:48] Speaker B: I know.
[00:37:49] Speaker A: When we, when we, for, when we first started recording, Ellie was I think maybe through two, three months old.
[00:37:58] Speaker D: Oh my gosh.
[00:38:01] Speaker A: And now like right before we started recording, like she was on here telling you all good night, like holding, holding the mic.
[00:38:12] Speaker D: She's so cute. So growing up too fast. But it is really sweet to see how all of us have been through so much in our own personal lives and you know, we've just grown so close and I love it.
[00:38:27] Speaker B: Okay. So you know, talking about. We talked about what everybody. Where we all have recorded from. How many times have any of us changed jobs since?
You know, I've done it twice.
I'm on my third one.
[00:38:45] Speaker D: Yep. Yeah, I mean too.
[00:38:48] Speaker B: Brooks is currently unemployed for any of those wondering.
[00:38:51] Speaker A: Yeah, currently. I mean.
[00:38:56] Speaker C: For the next 11 hours.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I left, I left. I. I left at 3pm today from the hospital and I start my new job tomorrow morning at 9am so.
[00:39:11] Speaker D: So good for you.
[00:39:13] Speaker B: Very happy.
[00:39:14] Speaker D: Yeah, for sure.
[00:39:15] Speaker A: Thank you. Nervous, but you'll do fine.
[00:39:19] Speaker B: But that was a great pause though as we're talking about your unemployment. That was perfect.
[00:39:24] Speaker D: Yeah, that was brilliant.
[00:39:27] Speaker A: I know. How am I going to explain this gap? I don't know.
[00:39:31] Speaker C: So what would that be for another job?
[00:39:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:39:36] Speaker B: 18 hour gap in the resume.
[00:39:39] Speaker A: I know. He's not dedicated.
[00:39:41] Speaker B: No, not.
[00:39:41] Speaker C: Not dedicated enough as HR and recruiting. I'm telling you, man, we frown on that.
There's just no coming back from that.
[00:39:51] Speaker A: I know. Oh, what was I thinking?
[00:39:54] Speaker C: I'd look at that resume and I'd be like, oh, he's not a good candidate at all.
That gap. He took too much time off.
[00:40:03] Speaker B: Brooks, you're just gonna end up selling. You know, Mickey bar is in popcorn on Main Street USA with this gap.
[00:40:11] Speaker D: Why do you make it sound like it's a punishment we all want?
[00:40:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I was about to say I'd do that.
[00:40:19] Speaker B: Well, I wasn't. But now that you want to make it that way. Have you. Y' all need to try to go sell Mickey bars and popcorn on May the summer.
[00:40:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:40:32] Speaker A: Dead.
[00:40:33] Speaker C: I don't want to.
[00:40:34] Speaker B: Fourth of July weekend, right? At the fireworks. No, it just got done raining. Everybody is back.
[00:40:42] Speaker D: The humidity.
[00:40:43] Speaker B: I'm telling you, like magic.
[00:40:46] Speaker D: At least there's no mosquitoes.
[00:40:48] Speaker B: True. Next time you Go to the parks.
I Highly Cast members that you go up to, all of your outdoor cast members, and you could just go.
[00:41:00] Speaker A: Bless you.
[00:41:00] Speaker D: Thank you.
[00:41:01] Speaker A: Bless you.
[00:41:03] Speaker B: Bless you.
[00:41:04] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. I have a question.
What?
Oh, I just lost it.
No, that's really bad.
Oh, no, I lost it.
[00:41:17] Speaker C: Were you gonna ask us what our dream job at Disney would be?
[00:41:21] Speaker D: No, but we can talk about that.
[00:41:23] Speaker C: Taking a guess.
[00:41:25] Speaker B: I think that's a great guess. That's exactly what Steph was going to ask.
[00:41:29] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
[00:41:34] Speaker D: So what is it?
[00:41:37] Speaker C: I want to be a historian.
I want to be one of the historians, like, the Voices of Liberty of Arendelle. I would like.
[00:41:46] Speaker B: You want to be that historian?
[00:41:48] Speaker C: I want to be that historian.
Yeah.
[00:41:51] Speaker A: That's my job, too.
[00:41:53] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:41:54] Speaker C: Put me on a stage. Let me just act it.
A skipper would.
[00:42:02] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
I want to see Kelton driving the ferry.
[00:42:10] Speaker B: I never did get to do that. No. My dream job. Well, first off, I've already a comp. I.
I was one of those kids that had a dream at a very young age, and that dream, of course, was to drive a Disney bus. Well, lo and behold, I got to have that dream and actually drive a Disney transport bus. So my dream's already been filled. However, there is another role. I either want to do the fireworks, I want to be on the fireworks team, or run sound for Eat to the Beat.
[00:42:45] Speaker A: That's what I really like.
[00:42:47] Speaker D: That's fun.
[00:42:50] Speaker C: Now that I think about, I kind of did have my dream because I did get to sing on stage at Disney, so I was part of Disney's cast choir. You did Candlelight? I did Candlelight, so, yeah.
[00:43:03] Speaker D: There we go.
[00:43:03] Speaker B: All right. Two dreams checked off. Stephanie, come on. Get your stuff together.
[00:43:09] Speaker A: Yep. I mean, I wouldn't mind being One of the DJs for Run Disney.
[00:43:16] Speaker D: That's different.
I like it. I like it a lot.
[00:43:22] Speaker B: I'll get you started.
[00:43:25] Speaker A: You know, so I've never used one of those, but funny enough, in college, my brother was a dj.
Get out of here. Yeah. DJ Cobbler.
Jacob was a dj?
Yeah. Like, he would do bar mitzvahs, middle school dances, J to the Cob.
Oh, I love it.
[00:43:54] Speaker D: That's epic. That's epic.
[00:43:56] Speaker B: Jacob, we need to collab, man.
[00:43:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:59] Speaker D: Oh, my goodness.
[00:44:00] Speaker A: He was. He was on. He was on an episode where literally everyone else could not be on for that episode.
I was like, well, we don't have any in the bank.
[00:44:14] Speaker D: Hold on.
There's more background story to that episode, and we're Very grateful for your brother, of course.
But we did record.
And before we continue.
[00:44:25] Speaker A: Oh, yes, yes.
[00:44:27] Speaker D: Higher episode disappeared.
Oh, my God.
[00:44:31] Speaker A: Was. Yeah. So we did have a lost episode between Steph and I.
[00:44:36] Speaker D: We were. We were talking.
[00:44:38] Speaker A: We were discussing Disney plus.
[00:44:41] Speaker D: Yeah. So anything that you should watch on Disney plus to prepare for your trip to Walt Disney World.
If anyone wants something like that, let us know. But.
[00:44:52] Speaker C: So we never.
[00:44:54] Speaker A: We thought we had recorded the full episode, and then when we hit stop, we realized half of it was gone.
[00:45:06] Speaker D: Yeah, that was depressing. And so it was like scrambling to try and figure out what we were gonna do. And Brooks was able to make magic happen with his brother, and that was a great.
[00:45:17] Speaker A: Well, I think. I think that was. I think that was. The episode we had in the bank was a tale of two brothers.
[00:45:25] Speaker B: I think so.
[00:45:25] Speaker D: Magic. Magic.
[00:45:27] Speaker B: Hold on. Steph, did you tell us what your dream Disney. She did.
[00:45:32] Speaker C: She did not like you getting the one.
[00:45:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay.
[00:45:36] Speaker D: I have two. The first one is I dream of being a Walt Disney or a Disney imagineer.
I want to be part of wed so badly. So, so badly.
What I would do in wedding, I have no idea. I just know I want to be wed.
And then my. My much harder to achieve dream job because imagine isn't hard enough. Yes.
I want to be Tinkerbell. Yep. Just shoot me from the castle at the very end of the night during the fireworks show.
I want to see.
I want to see the virus from that perspective. I want to see all the guests from that perspective.
I want to be Tinkerbell. She's my favorite character. Makes sense.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:46:27] Speaker D: You know, that's like, can you imagine you meet someone. Oh, what do you do for a living? I fly. Oh, like a pilot? No.
[00:46:36] Speaker A: What isn't it? There's, like, a meme right now, too. It's like, oh, what do you do? It's like, oh, I dance. It's like, oh, like ballroom. And it's like epic airball or something. And they're showing, like, the incredible stuff.
[00:46:50] Speaker D: I mean, that's not a story you want to hear. Yeah.
[00:46:53] Speaker A: Oh, you mean like a stewardess. It's like epic airball, and it's just like flying over Main Street.
[00:47:01] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, those are. Those are my. My dream jobs.
Yep. Don't judge me.
[00:47:07] Speaker C: Yeah, no judging.
[00:47:10] Speaker D: Not at all.
[00:47:12] Speaker C: We don't judge dreams.
[00:47:14] Speaker D: Thank you. Oh, I love that. Wait, that should be a sticker mike sticky mic.
Oh, man. I'm really upset, though. I can't remember what I was originally gonna say or the question. I was gonna ask.
[00:47:29] Speaker C: So we just went on a whole tangent.
[00:47:32] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:47:33] Speaker D: Yeah.
Jen, what was the biggest challenge for you? Having come on in season three, I just came up with this one on the spot. That was not my original question, so.
[00:47:51] Speaker C: I don't know how much of a challenge it was. I think I made it out to be more of a challenge in my head than what it actually was, because I tend to get in my head a lot, and I'm like, but you guys had been doing it for so long together.
And I was like, I'm gonna come in and feel like the new kid. And, like. Because I. I really didn't know Brooks and Kelton all that well. Like, now they're my brothers, but I didn't know them all that well, and. And I was like, oh, it's gonna be, you know, really weird, and I'm gonna feel left out. And. And it was something that I'd say was a challenge for, like, maybe the first five minutes, and then it was all. And then as time, you know, went on, it was like, it's all. I feel like it's always been the four of us, so.
[00:48:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:48:48] Speaker C: Yeah. I really. I do.
[00:48:50] Speaker A: It's hard to think, like, not the four of us doing this podcast.
[00:48:57] Speaker C: Yeah. And it's funny. My daughter, Savannah, she, you know, listens to us and watches us, and she said.
She said, mom, when I.
[00:49:09] Speaker B: When I grow up.
Did she say that?
[00:49:12] Speaker C: No, because she's all grown. But she said.
She said, mom, when I get on and I see the four screens pop up on YouTube, I get so excited because I know it's going to be so good. No matter what you guys are talking about. I know it's going to be good because it's the four of you. She said the energy is just different, and I think we all feel that. But in the beginning, I was like, I'm not going to fit in. They're not going to like me. I'm going to say something stupid.
[00:49:40] Speaker A: You know, say something stupid. I mean, have you listened to our podcast beforehand?
[00:49:45] Speaker C: Like, I said, it lasted for about five minutes before it was like, yeah, okay. These are my people.
[00:49:53] Speaker D: So.
Yeah.
[00:49:55] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. The only other challenges I had were my.
My. My Kitty earthquakes.
[00:50:05] Speaker A: We love the kitty Earthquakes.
[00:50:08] Speaker C: That episode where I did it, most of it with. With Woody in my arms, because he just would not leave.
[00:50:16] Speaker D: But, hey, we love the pets, too. They're part of the mouse Year support group.
[00:50:23] Speaker C: They are, but they get, like, right here on my desk, and they're. They're part Maine Coon they are big cats. If you've watched us, you've seen they are very big cats and they start fighting and I'm like trying to hold everything steady while still having a conversation. It's just. Yeah, that's a challenge.
[00:50:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:50:41] Speaker C: But also one of my favorite moments.
[00:50:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I would say, like, my setup has changed quite a bit.
[00:50:52] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:50:52] Speaker A: I think, like, the first few episodes of my desk was in a completely different spot. Like, there was a bed behind me at one point. Like, I had the camera facing a TV and the light fell, like right at the beginning of recording.
And Kelton was just like, what was that?
Oh, we made a tick tock about that too.
Insert.
But does any.
[00:51:24] Speaker D: Oh, I remember my question now. Thank you, bro.
Yay. Does anyone. Does anyone have a favorite trivia question that was mentioned at some point? I don't have one, but does anyone have a favorite trivia? Because we started trivia questions, I think in season three with Jen after. After our. Our trivia night with FTJ agent Shelby and Stephanie Hefner. And we had thinking of Robbie on that one too. I think that was at the end of season two.
It was so successful. We had blown up on Tick Tock with some of the trivia questions. We decided, hey, let's do trivia questions at all our episodes. And we started that with Jen. So I don't have a favorite one, but do you guys have a favorite trivia question?
[00:52:10] Speaker C: I haven't really thought about it.
[00:52:12] Speaker D: Yeah, me neither.
So I guess it was a bad question overall.
[00:52:16] Speaker C: No, it was a good question.
[00:52:19] Speaker B: No, I don't have to say, like, the only one I can think of.
[00:52:24] Speaker A: Like.
[00:52:27] Speaker B: We were doing. I want to say it may. It was one of our Royal Caribbean episodes. I don't know, don't think it was Icon of the Seas, but actually I think it was when we talked strictly about Perfect Day at Cococay Royal's private island down in the Bahamas, which they have currently have the largest freshwater swimming pool on Coco Key. Could I tell you how many gallons are in there? Absolutely not. Without going back to the document to look.
But that's probably my.
That's probably my favorite when it comes to the trivia questions actually from those episode recordings.
[00:53:09] Speaker D: I miss new news.
Oh, I love new news. That is something that, for those of you that don't know, we ended up cutting out new news because our episodes were getting too long.
[00:53:26] Speaker A: Well, and there was just so, like feel like we kept so much. Even though we tried to.
When was it that we started to record on a Thursday to release on a Monday.
Was that season two that we started doing that?
[00:53:42] Speaker D: I think it was halfway through season one.
No.
1 of Kelton's switcheroos.
[00:53:48] Speaker B: Yes. So that was when I took. I went from job number one to job number two because I worked Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and I was on rotating shift, so I worked day shift for 12 hours.
And then I think we switched. Right. When I went to night shift, that's when I think we. We switched to third, which I don't know if that was good or bad because, gosh darn it, every Thursday morning. Oh, you know, it's Thursday because Steph is blowing up the chat with all the new things going on that Disney and Universal and all these places are coming out with.
[00:54:29] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, it's. We tried to stay as. As, like, as current as we could with new news, but it was.
It was so hard. And then to try to cut it down and do our episodes.
[00:54:46] Speaker B: We tried to. We tried to go to the YouTube shorts for it, but we couldn't keep everything under. What is it the minute and a half that the shorts are.
[00:54:54] Speaker A: Well, I think they. They even went up to three minutes. Three minutes, and it was still hard.
[00:54:57] Speaker B: We still couldn't do it fast enough. I tried.
[00:55:00] Speaker D: Yeah, we did multiple recordings. One time we're like, if we can't get this short without actually without it just reading, like a report, and that's not who we are. We're. Well, we have arguments. We. Exactly. We have points to discuss.
So it's not like, you know, we'll read maybe like the intro just to make sure. Hey, we got, like, some necessary points, but for the most part, we just have bullets that we help us keep track of the conversation. So we're not so much off topic. But, you know, we have to have conversation, discussion, or else then. Then what's the fun in that? It would just be rapport for that. You just turn on the TV and watch the news.
So.
Yeah. But new news is great. We loved Brooks Runner. Christian Brooks Runner.
[00:55:58] Speaker A: Christian Brooks Runner.
[00:55:59] Speaker D: Loved him.
And the jingle that we had for that, too, was also great.
[00:56:05] Speaker B: Oh, hold on. Where is it? I gotta find it.
Oh, we had this one.
[00:56:12] Speaker A: That's breaking news.
Breaking news.
[00:56:17] Speaker C: Breaking news.
[00:56:18] Speaker A: There we go.
[00:56:19] Speaker D: There we go.
I looked forward to that jingle, guys. Not to mention, you know, I did enjoy staying on top of the news, but there will be days where I'm like, I can't keep up with this. There's too much going on.
[00:56:41] Speaker B: Why? You want to know why you couldn't keep up with it. It's very simple, Kylie. We spared no expense.
No expense was spared when it came to the new news.
[00:56:53] Speaker D: Truth. Truth. Yeah.
Oh, man. You know what? We didn't do that. We would have been.
We would have thrived. Doing was like a proper sit down restaurant review.
[00:57:08] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:57:09] Speaker D: Fun.
Just trying all the foodies.
[00:57:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:57:13] Speaker B: If we are all there. For those that don't know, Joey Fatone and friends is coming back to Epcot Eat to the beat. August 29th and 30th, three out of the four of us might hopefully be there. The fourth one is going on a cruise that week. Lucky her. I mean, how great is that? What trip are you going on?
[00:57:30] Speaker D: The Treasure.
[00:57:31] Speaker B: Oh, man, I had booked it when.
[00:57:35] Speaker D: It first like got released for its inaugural season before I had the opportunity to go on as a media guest this past December, so. But I'll be going with family, friends and Michael. And I haven't been on a Disney cruise with Michael yet, so.
So I'm looking forward to it, guys. I am.
[00:57:54] Speaker B: So if we were able to gather the morning of the 30th, we might have to do a breakfast review.
We're not sure where you will be able to find that video yet, but follow our socials and maybe we'll tell you later.
[00:58:12] Speaker D: You're pretty much.
[00:58:14] Speaker B: There's your awkward silence for the episode right there.
[00:58:21] Speaker C: Yeah, we'll have to pick. We'll have to pick somewhere.
[00:58:25] Speaker A: Somewhere where we can all eat.
[00:58:28] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:58:29] Speaker D: Not the Waffle House.
[00:58:30] Speaker B: Waffle House out of the window. No.
[00:58:32] Speaker A: Waffle House.
[00:58:33] Speaker D: Waffle House is.
[00:58:34] Speaker C: No.
[00:58:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Which I will say I have.
That is one goal in my life, to be able to replicate Waffle House's hash browns.
It is.
[00:58:48] Speaker B: I think it's impossible.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: Oh, I have tried.
[00:58:53] Speaker D: You know what would have been such a great thing? But we're not gonna be able to do it.
I would love to do Hoopdy Dooo review with all of you guys.
[00:59:04] Speaker A: Who says we can't do it?
[00:59:06] Speaker D: Well, timing wise, you're not going to be there on that Friday night.
If you come.
[00:59:13] Speaker A: Oh, we won't.
[00:59:14] Speaker D: And you did. Joey Fatone is.
[00:59:17] Speaker C: Yeah, Joey Fatone. Sorry.
[00:59:18] Speaker D: Joey Fatone.
[00:59:19] Speaker B: Joey Fatone Hoop de doo.
[00:59:22] Speaker C: If I can get the dining package for both nights of Joey Fatone, I will be there both nights for Joey Fatone.
[00:59:33] Speaker A: If we are able to do it, we have to have T shirts.
[00:59:39] Speaker D: Please do it.
Please do it.
[00:59:42] Speaker C: Aunt Donna can make us T shirts.
[00:59:45] Speaker D: Yes.
Kelton's looking at us like, shut the heck up. Shut the heck up.
[00:59:49] Speaker B: But, oh, No, I would wear a matching T shirt in a heartbeat.
[00:59:52] Speaker D: Oh, yes.
[00:59:53] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:59:54] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:59:55] Speaker B: I'm all about it. I'm a Disney adult on the front.
[00:59:57] Speaker A: Hey, Joey on the back. Can we be your. Can we be the friend?
[01:00:05] Speaker D: Please see us out there.
[01:00:08] Speaker C: Be like Joey and turn around so he could see.
[01:00:11] Speaker D: Yes, yes.
Please take videos of that long, long line that's going to be forming out there. Because. Oh, my gosh.
[01:00:20] Speaker A: Oh, that's why, like, I have. I have an alert set for that dining package.
[01:00:24] Speaker C: Yeah, I have alert.
[01:00:25] Speaker A: And I don't care. I don't care what restaurant it is.
[01:00:28] Speaker C: And I don't care what time. I don't care what meal it is like.
[01:00:34] Speaker D: Yeah. So I think this is a good opportunity to real quick also do. If we can remember all of them and if we don't, I'm so sorry, but a quick shout out to some of the FTJ agents that have also dedicated their time to being on this episode because, you know, we have such fantastic, and I mean fantastic agents at Fairy Tale Journeys besides us. For real.
And we, you know, we were so honored to have some of them come on and share their wealth of knowledge with us. So off the top of my head. Sarah Allen.
[01:01:10] Speaker B: Yep.
[01:01:11] Speaker D: Laura Greco.
[01:01:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:01:13] Speaker D: Shelby.
[01:01:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:01:14] Speaker D: Oh. Shelby Strickland. Stephanie Hefner. Brittany Young. Veronica Lofton. Christy Ross.
Elise Woodley. How can I forget?
We had Magical World. I'm drawing a blank right now.
[01:01:34] Speaker C: Rachel Turley.
[01:01:35] Speaker B: Rachel Turley.
[01:01:36] Speaker D: Thank you, Rachel.
[01:01:37] Speaker C: She just had a baby.
[01:01:38] Speaker D: She just had her baby.
Her first baby.
[01:01:42] Speaker C: Congratulations, Rachel.
[01:01:45] Speaker D: We had another Stephanie way back when in season one, and I cannot remember her last name.
And we had a very fun episode with her. We talked about how to battle, you know, stormy weather at Walt Disney World. It was very educational, I think.
Who else have we had on?
Obviously we had Suzanne and Steve, the owners of Fairy Tale Journeys travel.
And Jen, can you think of anyone else?
[01:02:16] Speaker B: We had Jenny Rich on for.
[01:02:19] Speaker D: Oh, yes, Part one, too.
That's right.
[01:02:25] Speaker C: I'm trying to find the other Stephanie.
[01:02:28] Speaker D: Thank you.
I don't want to leave her out. Obviously, Kara, shout out to her from season one Rock.
[01:02:34] Speaker B: Season one with us.
I think that is.
[01:02:43] Speaker A: It.
[01:02:43] Speaker B: From what I can tell.
[01:02:47] Speaker D: If we missed you, I'm so sorry.
But seriously, if you have a trip that you want to book, Disney Universal Cruise Line, all inclusive.
Want to travel on a private jet around the world?
[01:03:00] Speaker B: Yes, I would.
[01:03:01] Speaker D: Tj.
What'd you say?
[01:03:04] Speaker B: I would. I would love to.
[01:03:07] Speaker D: Contact.
[01:03:09] Speaker C: We've had a lot of very informational.
I'm Looking through, and we've had a lot of informational, you know, really good information for traveling in the parks. You know.
You know, the Mastering the Lightning Lanes, and, you know, Allergies.
[01:03:31] Speaker D: My Disney Experience app was a really good episode that we had. Magic bands. You're right. Allergies. Loved that episode that you ran.
[01:03:40] Speaker B: We had a great overview from Shelby when talking about the very first Jollywood Nights that happened at Hollywood Studios.
[01:03:50] Speaker D: Oh, that's. That's gonna be memorable down the line when, you know, on. On the 50th anniversary of Jollywood, how it's gonna change and everything.
[01:04:01] Speaker A: I mean, also, like, what to park, what to pack in your park bag.
[01:04:05] Speaker B: Oh, that was a.
[01:04:06] Speaker A: That was.
[01:04:07] Speaker C: That was a good one.
[01:04:11] Speaker A: So I still. I still have my battery pack that I'm still using.
[01:04:19] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:04:19] Speaker B: I actually carry one episode.
[01:04:22] Speaker D: Very informative episodes. But then we also had a lot of fun ones. A lot of rankings. We had. Did we do this or that one? We've done, like, clips, like little shorts.
[01:04:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:04:36] Speaker D: Rapid fire.
[01:04:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:04:38] Speaker B: Brooks and I talked about what we thought were the top three burgers on Walt Disney World.
[01:04:43] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
[01:04:45] Speaker C: I forgot about that.
[01:04:49] Speaker B: What. What did you have the. At what All Stars Resorts was.
[01:04:53] Speaker A: Oh, the Home Run Burger.
I think it's a Home Run burger.
Yeah, that. I think the.
When Kelsey and I stayed there, I think I had it two or three times.
It was just. It was that good.
So.
[01:05:14] Speaker B: March Madness was a fun one, like you said.
[01:05:17] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[01:05:18] Speaker B: Ooh, the defunct rides. We talked about those.
[01:05:22] Speaker C: Oh, that was a good.
That was a lot of fun. That was a trip down memory lane.
[01:05:29] Speaker A: Yep.
Y'. All. And y' all indulged me with Family Feud.
[01:05:36] Speaker B: Oh, Family Feud.
[01:05:38] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:05:38] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[01:05:39] Speaker D: How would you forget Family Feud?
[01:05:41] Speaker B: Gosh, that was something.
[01:05:42] Speaker C: That was so sad. I missed that one.
[01:05:45] Speaker A: That. That was a.
That was a.
That was a chore to get ready for because I had created a whole PowerPoint presentation, trying to make it as authentic as possible.
[01:05:58] Speaker B: And that was. That was MEP versus the Running Ohana. That was a fun episode.
[01:06:05] Speaker D: I would totally do that again in a heartbeat.
[01:06:07] Speaker A: And that one, too. The Mouse Use Universe crew was.
[01:06:12] Speaker B: That's right.
[01:06:13] Speaker A: They were the surveyed people.
As, you know, Family Feud. They survey a hundred people. The Mouse Ears Universe fully created that episode because for all of season three, we had a.
We had a Google Doc where had all the questions and people put in their answers and took the results from that and created the.
Created the Family Feud.
[01:06:44] Speaker D: Here's another one that you created that was really good. I think it was season two might have been the first episode where you had us create basically, like a land or a ride. Like what? Recreation.
[01:06:58] Speaker B: Imagineer.
[01:06:58] Speaker A: Imagineer for a day.
[01:06:59] Speaker D: Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
[01:07:02] Speaker A: That was good again.
[01:07:03] Speaker D: I would do that again.
[01:07:05] Speaker A: Yep.
I. I'm still holding out for them to redo Rock and Roller Coaster to Power Line.
[01:07:15] Speaker C: I know.
[01:07:16] Speaker A: I'm glad they're keeping the Muppets.
But Power Line works so much better.
[01:07:25] Speaker B: Well, Disney has listened. Disney has listened to us before because way back in season one, we were talking about how we had missed the tram. Everybody was tired of walking from the parking lot to the front gate, and.
[01:07:42] Speaker D: We'Re going, magic Kingdom.
[01:07:45] Speaker B: We're talking like hashtag, justice for the Trams. Put it on a bumper sticker, wear it on a shirt.
And all of a sudden, they came back like, a couple of weeks after that episode dropped. And I'm going, we're going, wow.
So now I guess we just thought if we'd say it here, that it'll happen.
Maybe there's a little bit of magic in these microphones.
[01:08:11] Speaker D: I love it. I love it. Well, hundred episodes of magic, that's what we've been able to. To create. And goodness knows we've enjoyed every second of it.
[01:08:23] Speaker C: We have.
[01:08:25] Speaker A: And all the hours.
[01:08:27] Speaker D: And we want to thank all the people of the Mouse Ears universe, our supporters, our fans, all you listeners out there. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Because we really wouldn't have made it to 100 episodes if you guys hadn't come out in droves. I mean, within. Within just what? Within a year? Less than a year. We actually.
How long have we been on YouTube? It hasn't been that long. We hit over 100 subscribers in just a few months.
[01:08:58] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:08:58] Speaker D: And that's just YouTube.
[01:08:59] Speaker B: Didn't we start that on season four?
[01:09:02] Speaker D: Yeah, that was season four.
[01:09:03] Speaker A: Season three.
[01:09:04] Speaker B: Season three.
[01:09:05] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:09:05] Speaker D: I thought it was like we were still kind of feel like feeling it out in season three. We weren't consistent. We weren't really putting that.
[01:09:13] Speaker B: We were not consistent.
[01:09:14] Speaker D: Really feel like there were some episodes.
[01:09:16] Speaker A: We missed putting on YouTube for on season three.
[01:09:21] Speaker D: So. Yeah, I mean, we wouldn't have been able to continue without all of our followers and support. So, you know, we love you guys. Thank you.
This is for you.
Definitely thanks to a hundred episodes.
[01:09:39] Speaker A: So that's so wild to say.
[01:09:41] Speaker C: Yeah, it's so wild to think about.
[01:09:45] Speaker D: There really is.
Yeah.
[01:09:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Speaking of 100 episodes, going back to our trivia question from the beginning, what percentage of podcasts make it to 100 episodes.
What are your guesses?
[01:10:02] Speaker B: 1.7.
[01:10:04] Speaker C: That was very specific.
[01:10:08] Speaker D: Did you really have to throw a point in there?
[01:10:11] Speaker C: I love it.
[01:10:12] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, are you trying to go.
[01:10:14] Speaker C: To prices right to win?
[01:10:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:10:18] Speaker B: Is it prices right rules or what are we talking here?
[01:10:21] Speaker A: What are our rules?
[01:10:22] Speaker D: You have to be just under. Are we playing the clock game?
[01:10:30] Speaker B: No, it's Plinko.
[01:10:33] Speaker A: Jenny, what is your guess?
[01:10:35] Speaker C: I. I say 8%.
[01:10:41] Speaker A: So it is. So first off, about 90% of podcasts don't even make it to 20 episodes.
Wow.
[01:10:50] Speaker C: 90.
[01:10:51] Speaker D: Did you say 90?
[01:10:53] Speaker A: 90% of podcasts do not make it to.
So I think it was about 10% of podcasts make it to 100 episodes.
[01:11:05] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:11:06] Speaker D: I tried making my own podcast too, back when I was in college and we didn't make it to episode three. We recorded two and that was it. And then it was like, okay, this is a lot of work.
So. Because, like, percentage to 100.
[01:11:20] Speaker A: About 10%.
[01:11:22] Speaker D: All right.
Okay.
[01:11:24] Speaker B: So way to go, Jenny.
[01:11:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:11:26] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:11:28] Speaker A: So I mean it, because, like we've talked about before, you listen to what we record. Like, literally the hours to prep each episode. Like, we'll get on monthly house meeting, like housekeeping calls to plan out the next month.
You know, Kelton and I mainly do the editing and like researching different techniques and everything and experimenting, trying.
Like, I have spent hundreds of hours on Adobe Premiere and I'm just scratching the surface.
[01:12:06] Speaker D: Yeah, we've changed. We've evolved so much. You know, you.
The intro and the songs and you know, you've even done some post like, or not post, but like end credit scenes and fun stuff like that. I mean, it's just. It's all been very special and quite a Journey to 100 MEP. Journey to 100. That should be our turn.
[01:12:34] Speaker C: I was just gonna say that. I love that.
[01:12:37] Speaker A: There we go.
[01:12:37] Speaker C: I like it. Very good stuff.
[01:12:40] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:12:40] Speaker D: And on that note, you start wrapping it up because we're over an hour again.
Yeah. Unsurprising.
[01:12:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
