[00:00:07] Speaker A: Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Mouse Ears Podcast, where we talk about all things travel, but mostly Disney, brought to you by Fairy Tale Journeys Travel.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: Hi, everyone. Thank you for joining us today for Mouse Ears Podcast. This or that Halloween special. I'm actually excited we haven't done this yet, so.
So thank you for tuning in. I know it's Halloween today. I hope everyone is ready to eat some delicious candy or give out some delicious candy. I will be of the variety giving out candy with my Oogie Boogie shirt. Yes, yes, yes. But anyways, I digress. We're doing a this or that episode, short little tidbit thingy. And I'm excited. I think this could be really fun. So you guys let us know. Do you want to see more of this or not?
[00:01:01] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:01:01] Speaker B: So, yes. All right.
Please.
You know, can we have this as, like a poll or something? Somewhere?
Anyways.
All right, so it's going to kind of be like a rapid fire. So you guys shout out your answers. I'm also shouting out mine. And we'll see what wins, I guess. All right, number one, Mickey's not so Scary. Halloween Party or Halloween on the High Seas.
[00:01:32] Speaker C: Halloween on the High Seas.
[00:01:34] Speaker A: Not so scary. 100%, Brooks.
[00:01:39] Speaker D: Considering I've never been on a cruise. Mickey's not so Scary.
[00:01:43] Speaker B: I do. Not so scary. All right, that one wins. Round one. Round two, Nightmare Before Christmas or Hocus Pocus.
[00:01:52] Speaker A: Hocus Pocus.
[00:01:54] Speaker C: Hocus Pocus.
[00:01:56] Speaker D: Oh, y'all put a spell on me. Hocus Pocus.
I have the Funkos of the Sanderson Sisters. Hold on.
[00:02:04] Speaker A: Now you're mine.
Where's he going?
[00:02:08] Speaker C: What is he doing?
I'm nervous.
[00:02:11] Speaker A: I can just hear the music now.
[00:02:18] Speaker D: I put a spell on you and now you're so long. Sorry.
[00:02:26] Speaker B: Love it. All right, I think I am going to go with.
Oh, Nightmare Before Christmas. Yeah, I'll be that person. Whatever.
But Hocus Pocus wins. All right, number three, the Headless Horseman or Oogie Boogie.
[00:02:47] Speaker C: Headless Horseman.
[00:02:51] Speaker B: Oogie Boogie for me.
And honestly, I was inspired by the boot to you parade.
[00:02:58] Speaker A: With this one, I'd have to go Headless Horseman.
[00:03:04] Speaker D: I mean, considering there's no Death Eaters. Headless Horseman.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: Headless Horseman just won. I was not expecting that at all. Okay, all right, number four, Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion or Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. Before you say you haven't been, I'm sure you guys have seen pictures and videos, so don't come at me with this one.
All right, I'm Going Disneyland. Haunted Mansion, Disneyland.
[00:03:31] Speaker D: I love Disney Worlds, but the history behind Disneyland.
[00:03:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Disneyland.
[00:03:40] Speaker A: I'll be the odd man amp. I'll go Disney World.
[00:03:43] Speaker B: I never thought I would ever say Disneyland until I actually experienced it.
[00:03:48] Speaker A: I bet it was awesome.
[00:03:49] Speaker B: Because of the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. It is chef's kiss. Honestly. If you're curious about the pre show, feel free to go to my FTJ by Stephanie PG Instagram. And I have a little clip it. Oh, it's so good.
[00:04:04] Speaker D: Anyways, all right, I have a hot take real quick. I'm not a fan of a Nightmare Before Christmas.
[00:04:10] Speaker C: I'm not either.
[00:04:12] Speaker B: Tim Burton is not for everyone.
[00:04:15] Speaker D: I don't mind. I don't like Tim Burton. I mean, it's not that I don't like Tim Burton. I just. Not a fan of Nightmare Before Christmas.
[00:04:22] Speaker A: You're sure making it sound like you don't like them.
[00:04:26] Speaker D: I love Batman and Batman Returns.
[00:04:32] Speaker B: So my favorite Halloween movie is actually the original Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:04:39] Speaker B: So that one. That's what I'll watch. I'll watch that over Nightmare Before Christmas or Hocus Pocus, but I don't know. Nightmare Before Christmas has warmed. Has, like, warmed up for me. You won't really ever see me, like, have decorations around the house and stuff for them, but I don't know, I just. I do like it. I can't say that I don't. But anyways, I digress again, number five. Oh, so Walt Disney World lost. Disneyland is the victorious Haunted Mansion number five. Madame Leota or hitchhiking ghosts. This one's tough for me. I'll be honest.
[00:05:18] Speaker A: Madame Leota.
[00:05:21] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:05:22] Speaker C: Hitchhiking ghosts.
[00:05:25] Speaker A: We got our first and the men stick together.
[00:05:30] Speaker B: I just love the hitchhiking ghosts. I love decorations with hitchhiking ghosts.
[00:05:34] Speaker D: What's. What's funny is the men went with the woman option and the women went with the men option.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: So when I thought about this, I'm like, you know what Madame Leota is like. Like, there's a lot of benefits to her. There are none to hitchhiking ghosts.
[00:05:53] Speaker A: So I wanna. Okay, so for. For you to Stefan and Jenny.
[00:05:58] Speaker D: What?
[00:05:58] Speaker A: Which hitchhiking ghost? Out of the three, now you have to pick one.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: I don't know them by their name.
[00:06:09] Speaker D: Danny DeVito or.
[00:06:10] Speaker B: I don't know them by their name.
[00:06:14] Speaker C: Danny DeVito.
[00:06:14] Speaker D: Well, you have Slender Man, Danny DeVito and the old one.
[00:06:25] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness.
[00:06:26] Speaker A: I never thought of it that way.
[00:06:29] Speaker D: I didn't until 15 seconds ago.
[00:06:32] Speaker A: I could not Wait to go to the next Halloween party. So I could just point it out to Casey. Casey, there's Danny DeVito right there.
[00:06:40] Speaker D: That's gotta be. That's gotta be a shirt. Or that's gotta. Sticky Mike. That has to be a sticker.
Which hitchhike, Slenderman or Dan Delito?
Schwarzenegger. Which twin do you like better on a schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito?
[00:07:01] Speaker A: Next.
Hurry.
[00:07:07] Speaker B: Okay. All right.
[00:07:09] Speaker A: I guess we need like that sound.
[00:07:14] Speaker B: That was really good. Yeah, no, that was brilliant. All right, number six. Maleficent or evil Queen?
[00:07:25] Speaker A: Maleficent.
[00:07:26] Speaker B: I am Maleficent.
[00:07:29] Speaker D: I'm going to go with Evil Queen.
She's the fairest of them all.
[00:07:33] Speaker A: She is.
[00:07:34] Speaker B: But she ain't no dragon.
[00:07:36] Speaker A: No, Maleficent has wings.
[00:07:38] Speaker D: She. I mean, she can turn into stuff.
[00:07:42] Speaker B: An old lady.
[00:07:43] Speaker C: I'm going to go with Maleficent. Although interactions with the evil queen are, like, amazing.
[00:07:51] Speaker B: But I'm going to get disowned by Elise for these answers. But except for you.
[00:07:57] Speaker A: I see you.
[00:07:59] Speaker D: I see you.
[00:08:00] Speaker C: Turn it off, Elise.
[00:08:02] Speaker D: Keep it on. Remember this?
[00:08:04] Speaker B: Victorious number seven.
All right, Mickey. Pumpkin wreath or Halloween popcorn buckets?
[00:08:15] Speaker D: Popcorn buckets.
[00:08:16] Speaker A: Popcorn buckets.
[00:08:18] Speaker B: Popcorn buckets.
[00:08:20] Speaker A: You can take those home.
[00:08:23] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:08:24] Speaker A: And they change and refill them for 225.
[00:08:29] Speaker D: Food and put them up on your for decoration.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: I have a light up Winnie Sanderson sister. Well, sorry. A Minnie Mouse dressed as Winnie Sanderson that lights up popcorn bucket at home. Can't beat that one. That one is epic.
[00:08:49] Speaker A: I just want to make a note that if you do use your popcorn buckets as decor to make sure to take the popcorn out before you put them up for you. We did that a few years back and the popcorn was stale when we took it off the shelf in our closet.
[00:09:09] Speaker B: Look.
[00:09:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:10] Speaker B: No, no, no. I order my popcorn on the side.
My popcorn bucket goes into the backpack or in the bag. No popcorn ever touches mine.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: It'll be okay.
[00:09:22] Speaker D: So one thing that was cool, whenever I got the.
The figment bucket. And also the.
The latest one where it has the building with epcot with figment flying in it. They had the popcorn in a special bag. So you can literally just take the popcorn out because it was also the colorful sweet.
[00:09:45] Speaker A: The caramel.
All right, we're at nine and a half minutes. You wanted to stop at 15.
[00:09:50] Speaker D: So do we have three questions left?
[00:09:55] Speaker B: Number eight, hero or villain? Halloween costume.
[00:10:02] Speaker A: Villain.
[00:10:03] Speaker C: Villain.
[00:10:05] Speaker B: Villain.
[00:10:06] Speaker C: Villain.
[00:10:07] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:10:10] Speaker D: I mean, I was putting Scar all this weekend because Ellie was watching the Lion King in the car when we were Going to Augusta. So I was literally, I was like, just quoting Scar all weekend.
[00:10:23] Speaker B: I like him as a villain, too.
All right, number nine. Trick or treating or handing out candy.
[00:10:33] Speaker C: Handing out candy.
[00:10:35] Speaker B: Handing out candy for me.
[00:10:39] Speaker A: As an adult or a child, you do you boo Boo.
[00:10:46] Speaker B: Be whatever age you want to be.
[00:10:49] Speaker D: All the reason I'm going handy.
I'm only going to say trick or treating because we're taking Ellie trick or treating for the first time this year. And I'm excited to go do that.
Her as little her as Nemo and Pete. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney.
[00:11:06] Speaker B: Make sure you send us pictures.
[00:11:08] Speaker D: Oh, they will. Deep Kelsey's Darla.
[00:11:11] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[00:11:13] Speaker D: And we're thinking of making her wagon. The baggies was, like, fishy.
[00:11:18] Speaker B: That's amazing. Oh, that is brilliant.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: I can't wait. I hope to see pictures.
[00:11:23] Speaker D: Oh, you will.
[00:11:24] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:11:24] Speaker D: There'll be 500.
[00:11:28] Speaker B: All right, last question. Think hard, think long.
Halloween or Christmas?
[00:11:38] Speaker C: Christmas.
[00:11:43] Speaker D: Well, I have to say Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
[00:11:48] Speaker A: Christmas.
[00:11:49] Speaker B: Christmas.
[00:11:50] Speaker D: I love Halloween.
[00:11:51] Speaker B: Not because I don't love Halloween.
[00:11:52] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Well, I don't really care for Halloween. I'll be the odd band out.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: Oh, no, I love Halloween. But Christmas. Still top tier. But I love Christmas. All right, guys.
[00:12:03] Speaker D: I mean, I have two Christmas sweaters in my closet, so ugly Christmas sweaters. No, both Mickey Christmas sweaters.
[00:12:13] Speaker A: So, yeah, they would work for an ugly Christmas sweater party.
[00:12:19] Speaker D: Shots fired.
[00:12:20] Speaker A: No, you probably win first place.
[00:12:24] Speaker D: Oh, no, they're very tasteful. I want to get Darth Vader Christmas.
That says, I find your lack of Christmas troublesome.
[00:12:35] Speaker A: Oh, I like the Darth Vader one.
Very dark and eerie.
[00:12:41] Speaker D: Very dark. Very demure.
[00:12:43] Speaker A: Very demure.
Let them cook, ladies. Let them cook.
[00:12:48] Speaker D: Let me cook.
[00:12:49] Speaker B: Did you say very dark or very Darth?
[00:12:53] Speaker D: Whichever you want me to say.
Okay, rewind.
Very Darth Fairy demure.
[00:13:07] Speaker B: I love that phrase. I don't know why, but it just sounds so.
I don't know. Anyways, all right.
[00:13:13] Speaker A: Yeah, it's very Gen Z of you.
[00:13:18] Speaker B: I'm a millennial.
[00:13:20] Speaker A: Are you sure?
[00:13:20] Speaker B: The very, very last millennial. Gosh.
[00:13:26] Speaker D: Don't be. Don't be Ohio. Come on. I don't know what that means. Apparently, that's a Gen Z word is Ohio and it's not good.
[00:13:39] Speaker A: Please make it end. Make it end.
[00:13:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know what.
[00:13:43] Speaker B: All right, all right. This has become the train wreck to avoid. Guys, audience members, people of the Mousiers podcast universe, thank you for joining us.
[00:14:00] Speaker C: What do we call.
[00:14:01] Speaker D: What do we call them?
[00:14:06] Speaker B: Alcoholics.
[00:14:08] Speaker A: That's Mike at the back.
Dbs.
[00:14:13] Speaker D: Designated buddies.
[00:14:16] Speaker A: All right, now, I won't interrupt you again. Steph, go ahead.
[00:14:20] Speaker B: All right, well, thank you for. If you're still listening to us. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Would you like to see. Oh, my. I. I will never finish. This is.
Thank you for meeting yourself.
All right.
Hopefully you enjoyed this special Halloween. Short of this for that of the Masters podcast.
Honestly, what more can I say other than Happy Halloween, everyone. We'll see you next week.
[00:14:56] Speaker A: Happy Halloween. Be safe.
